Richard was in a conspriacy...Do you not understand??? That is a group of people planning a crime. It does not matter who did the killing...They were all guilty. Richard was the one who chose to fight it in court and lost. 40 years is a long time but you are alive. You can appeal and maybe get out sooner. The other 2 guys at least had the courage to say they did it... He was not executed for conspiracy, he was executed as the shooter. Totally different crime. Rich is innocent. Please don't call me a liar by saying he wasn't, thanks.

Who was innocent... Richard KILLED someone. MURDER...You are trying for sympathy and deserve none. He KILLED someone and that is that. And got what he deserved... You have already established that you thought he was a PART of it because he was aware of the robbery...you have not actually proven he shot anyone...you told us earlier that you thought that he still fell under law of parties type thing...and suzanne kept saying he wasn't executed for being apart of a robbery, but executed for murder, which he did not do. if you sleep better at night believing this, so be it...but we do not...maybe you are scared to admit that a person on death row really told the truth and that would prove a flawed system, which puts a kink in the belief that justice is really happening.

Richard was the one who chose to fight it in court and lost. OK this is just plain sick...you double talk about this...you say in one post you know for a FACT he shot someone..now you say that he was in conspiracy therefore guilty....he was not executed for "conspiracy" he was executed for SHOOTING someone...and he did NOT shoot him...you're precious system and "plea" bargains will have the REAL shooter on the street in a matter of years...i guess you feel safer though that at least one of the "monsters" is killed...go ahead and feel that way....it's really distrubing that people act like this.. i know of a case where they attempted to get capital murder for a guy who didn't even participate in the death of the person...but it was high profile and the prosecuters were out for blood...luckily he only got i think it was 25 years...he did NOT kill anyone, but the DA didn't give a crap, they wanted as much blood as they could... (this is a different topic than rich)...

P.S. For our viewing audience, sorry, you have to be bored once more with our fight against the death penalty.
And "cookie monster" is my husband, btw.

It is a myth to assume people get banned just because they don't agree with us about the death penalty. That's not true. I'm always in for a good debate.
They get banned by putting down specific inmates to the point that you're accusing their family/friends (who post in here who know said inmate better ) of being a liar. Debates aren't for making rude remarks about inmates who are our family/friends.
They get banned if they are disrespectful to those of us who are family/friends with DR inmates, i.e. posting with a "kill'm'all" regardless of their charge v. their crime attitude (such as "they may not have shot them, but they robbed them so they must be executed" even though the charge is different from the actual crime), calling inmates degrading names such as "scammers" and putting down how the parents of said inmates raised them.
Disrespect is not tolerated towards "the other victims".

That's is too cool. Rich used to get floods of e mails from people who were once pro, turning anti or in the middle just because of his articles and how they were seeing a totally different side of the death penalty. I still get them, not as often.
