Perhaps, Catz, the question should be why do so many criminals kill people in Harris County...?
Could it be that they have a lot more problems such as a hatrid of the police, ala Rob Will...
Or they are on drugs, alcohol, undereducated, cannot find a job, so they steal and rob...until they have to kill a store clerk for the few dollars that are in the register...
I mean, we have a consumer driven society here...People need and want stuff...See George Carlin's monologue on the subject...

There are many who killed someone that gets released after time served - and I wonder if there is any statistic how many of them re offended.

Why would I want to resurrect dead crooks for, anyway...They would only commit the crime again...
It is a waste of the charge in my wand of resurrection...

So - if everyone would re offend, does that mean ALL of the inmates in the U.S? No one should get out, because they will just commit crimes again?
Eventually the USA would be nothing but a HUGE prison.

Not my mind...It is made up...The Death Penalty deters crime...One dead crook at a time... Dead men commit no crimes... You say they would only commit the crime again, but how can you be sure? My cousin spent 15 years for murder, and he's not had so much as a parking ticket since. That was 11 years ago. Stomp. Gill

I do not get angry...
I get sad...Sad that people do not understand the these people are criminals...They have deprived people of their lives...Locking them up is not the answer. We kill to protect our children and our aged...our college students...Our small business people...that is why. It take $30,000.00 per year to house someone in a prison. That is the education of 6 children...or two college students at a state school.

The topic is Clint Young's writing...
As I said in a previous post. he does about as well as an incomming college freshman that I get out here. And I think I posted that I was courious if the people on death row could get an education. I was told that was very expensive...
But what about a GED or High School Diploma through the Windham School District...Which is all of TDCJ?
