They shouldn't be given weight equipment either! But, in answer to your request, I most sincerely doubt that double murderers , child rapists are religious!

I am not sure where this thread is going as Andie starts out being very much pro and ends up mid way between pro , middle of the road and anti!! I really like the way Pumpkin handled it though, moving the exchanges away from personal arguments. At the end of the day, exchanging views is a healthy exercise and keeps our minds open to all sorts of ideas. For my part, I can only account for what I am told by my DR penpal ; the noise, the pungent odours, the limited personal possessions stolen by unscrupulous guards on a regular basis; the lack of temperature control; seriously lousy and limited food . None of it sounds particularly attractive compared with the freedom that is the big wide world. Consequently, I rather doubt the murderers in there, are having a wail of a time!!

I think Andie is still pro, but is being respectful here, and she seems very open-minded. I've actually learned a little from her. She's pretty cool. I would hope and ask that all pros who come on here would give us the same respect. And some do.

I personally don't think that murderers should have a good time. Prison shouldn't be a home away from home, it should be a place to sit misreably. As for being pro, that I still am because even though there may be innocent people in jail and on dr ...which is likely a fact, there are also guilty people too, thus...for those who are guilty as sin so to speak, it is THEIR own faults that keep the DP going. Think about it, it is not the pros who support the dp who keep it running, it is those who murder that do. And I know we will never live in a perfect world and people most likely won't stop killing other people there will most likely still be a dp in states or other countries. Unfortunately, DNA isn't applicable in all cases. Furthermore, DNA testing is barred after certain procedural stages are reached. It's expensive and so much cheaper for the state to simply kill a human being.
