don't afford to judge people's choices. And don't afford to give such a judgment about someone's life. I am sure you can't even imagine the reason the people have to write to inmates. Your heart is too full of hate to be able to feel such a kind of love. This is a bad thing you've said. very unrespectful. Pay attention on what you say about this. See, that is where you are wrong. I have a lot of love. The love I have is for the people that were selfishly murdered.

See, that is where you are wrong. I have a lot of love. The love I have is for the people that were selfishly murdered. Truth why not take on the positive side, and open a thread on whatever u are doing to show that love? All these people show compassion by deeds not by words, or is this the way u are expressing compassion to murder victims? Best catz

I suggest u get a good book and a cosy couch, because i think u will be waiting forever if u haven't recognized those yet They are all the same--"it is still murder". I have offered several benefits of the death penalty.

I apologize for this rather quick addition. I simply felt so outraged and rather curious that anyone could defend the death penalty.
It has been proven statistically that the death penalty does not decrease the murder rate in those states that maintain it. It is not cost efficient to murder an individual. As harsh as this may sound, it does not bring back the victim(s). It, rather, perpetuates the cycle of violence by the premeditated murder by the state of a human being. It has absolutely no benefit, other than vengeance, to society as a whole.
As for the word that has become the 'flavour of the day', it does not bring 'closure'. With the death of a family member or friend, all that brings about 'closure' is the passage of time, i.e., the 'normal' mourning process.
There is no logical reason for supporting the death penalty. It is a purely vindictive, emotional reaction to a tragic circumstance.

I agree with you Ela. How can we even compare one life against the other? Murder is wrong regardless of who does it. Oh you think the state is murdering someone when they execute them. No it is different when someone just decides to kill someone well becuase they felt like it and someone who is executed after a trial and many many appeals to plead their case

:)ELA AT LEAST UVE GOT A HEART AND NAE A SWINGING BRICK GOOD ON YE ;D ;D ;D THE GUYS ON DEATH ROW ARE MORE HUMAN THAN THE ONES ON THE OUTSIDE NOW WHY IS THAT!? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ANG Yeah, right. Were they more human when they were robbing, shooting and beating people to death? Were they better citizens than the people that would get up at 4 in the morning to go to work on a Saturday while they were getting drunk and using drugs?

I think there is not a single life that weighs more than another one. I do. If you take a life by capital murder, you automatically move to the bottom of the social ladder.
