I posted a similar message on the 'Introduce youself ' by mistake, I'm new to PC's and forums, so please bear bear with me while I get it together What I'm hoping to find out is there an alternative way of tranfering funds to a Florida prison, apart from Western Union, who charge 10 quid ($17) for using their service. My friend needs the dollars more than W.Union. Any ideas?

My husband has some friends from France that send him some money and they send it to me, and I put it on their books for them. I know a lot of people from Europe that do this.

yes, that's a good idea.. it's impossible to send money orders from Italy ( I think from the rest of europe too..) We don't have that kind of money orders in Italy.. the only way to send money to USA is that the person go personally to get it... Last time I had to send money to my friend, I was going to NY for personal stuffs and I did everything from there.. in USA money orders are quick and easy. To be honest I didn't know anyone in USA who could get my money and then transfer to my friend.. but that's a good idea. love, Ela

What I will do, is to ask some friends of mine who are sending money to Florida Death Row every month, and then post their response here so others can see it too. Love, Turid

Hi There!
Here's what my friend wrote: (She's from England)
===================
"Well money orders are expensive - I don't send them.
I am lucky. I send dollars with the Inmate Trust Fund Slip filled out to my friend in another state and she buys money orders from the US Post Office. She then sends it for me.
OR, I do it myself when I go over.
Yes, it's difficult to send money - probably on purpose.
Hope that helped a little. Hope your friend finds a way.]"
If his sister can't for various reasons do this for you, I can put you in touch with somebody who can. If so, just send me a IM.
===================
Love, Turid

Thanks Turid, i don't know if his sister has a paypal account, i know Western Union's safe and very fast but at $17 commission to send $35 as i already said i'd much prefer my friend got the extra cash than a big multi-national. I might have to get back to some of you on this, i appreciate the offers of help, cheers for now ,love Mo.

Can someone explain to me how you can send western union to Polunsky? I heard it is poss but I don't know how to do it. Bobby refuses to send me one of those slips because he feels he is the man and will take care of it but I want to do this for him and don't know any other ideas.
