I'm very concerned about this issue. Yesterday I came across Paulo Coelho's blog www.paulocoelhoblog.comand he's quoting a letter sent to him by death row detainee Justin Fuller. I was surprised to see so much lucidity and freedom. I wonder: if one repents, truly, is it still necessary to carry out execution? Anyway, I am in a way bieased since I can't find any valid criteria for a State to carry out death penalty. I find this to be dangerous and utterly uneffective. Thank you for being out there thinking about these issues.

The inmate being quoted in the blog has already been executed, right? It sounds like the blogger was just trying to share the message that this experience brought to him, and what the inmate taught him about life.
