Filming

Hi,

Its been a very, very long time since I've been on here but I'm looking to answer a question of mine if anyone can help.
I am a film student in London and I am currently working on a documentary idea that I'd love to make a reality.
I won't explain my idea on here for the moment, but what I'm interested in is if anybody knows if its possible to film inside a prison? In particular San Quentin or how much this costs?
I have written and emailed the filming officer at San Quentin but I am very impatient!

I know that this sounds very brief, but if anybody can give me ANY information at all I would really appreciate it.

There is some film material but not much - just generic shots AFAIK.
