I have proof that Scott is not guilty! Last night while I was lying in bed, little green men came to me and told me that Scott was not guilty. They also told me that if I squeeze me ass checks together real tight when I'm taking a dump, I would sh*t gold!

What they are really scared of is if Scott is proven innocent after being sentenced to death, him being so high profile, will give the abolishment movement more publicity and get more people thinking "hey, I need to vote and help get rid of this death penalty before another innocent man/woman is sentenced to death".
Suppose Scott is innocent. If the proof was in their face, they would deny it.

what I don't understand is why they even bother....
it is one thing to have a differing opinion and have healty, respectful debate. I LOVE doing that - and I think it is a good thing to learn more about what others think and why they think it.
But the way some of these folks just lash out at everyone and everything - I don't get it. I used to be a member of several so called "discussion groups" about this case, and in every case other than one, I dropped out or was kicked out because they did not like my opinion and called me stupid or wrong or clueless or whatever.
If they don't like Scott, or whatever it is that they are complaining about, then why are they even on this site? I have yet to have one person answer that question in a respectful, intellegent way.
I love this site because even tho there are people on here that totally believe that Scott is as guilty as he can be, we can still talk to each other and have a conversation. They are smart enough to realize that there is much more to a person than their opinion or belief on one subject. I have even noticed that a couple of times, people would come on the site who actually support the death penalty, and even those people are not made fun of or ridiculed and they are treated with respect.
Talking about Scott seems to bring up a deep seated hatred in some people that I truly don't get.
I don't understand why they act the way they do....
What is it that this case touched deep inside you that brings out so much anger?

I have had many of people talk down to me or criticize me for my opinions as they relate to the case. IMO people who cannot tolerate the fact that others hold opinions that differs from theirs, have control issues. Personally, I could care less what others feel, as long as they respect the fact, that I may not agree with them. There is no need to get rude or offensive with someone just because they feel differently about the subject matter. Perhaps these people know deep down inside that there is no real evidence to justify convicting Scott and they get so defensive, because they base their opinions about the case Solly on their own personal opinions and have no real proof to support what they think. |
