A lot of people have expressed support for Scott's parents; Lee and Jackie Peterson. Jackie particularly has garnered people's love and support; even with her health challenges she has been steadfast in support of her son and in her belief in his innocence; and also in her love for her daughter in law Laci; and the grandson they were waiting to welcome.
We've created this thread so people can post messages to be forwarded to Scott's parents. People can also visit Mel's site to purchase SAVESCOTTSLIFE.COM bracelets for 5$ - funds to go to Petersons to assist them in their travel expenses in visiting their son.

Jacky, Lee and family,
Just wanted to let you know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I admire your strength and courage getting through all of this. You are both wonderful parents standing by Scott's side the way you have. I commend you for the way you held up. I realize it has not been easy. This has had to of been the most devistating thing your family has ever gone through. I hope you can find peace and comfurt, knowing there are many people out here, who believe in your son's innocence and are behind you every step of the way. I will continue to show my support for your family, and your son's appeal until all is said and done. God bless all of you. Stand proud and strong. Keep the faith and let the good Lord guide you in all you do.
Don't give up five minutes before your miracle.

Mr. & Mrs. Peterson,
I would just like to send my thoughts to the both of you. I have followed this case from the beginning. When the disappearance first happened I got into it because I felt I was looking into a mirror. It was scary. Someone my age just falling off the face of the planet. Scott is no different than any of my male friends. The bs'ing that he was doing to Amber was normal behavior. He did not think that Laci was gone forever. I do not look at his lies that they were so focused on as a guily label. It is rediculous. And to think that the jury probably focused on that the most is sickening. Everyone has lied to a spouse. Bottom line, in my opinion, you should not sentence someone to die without proof of the murder. No weapon, murder scene, etc. Just because the jury and the press did not like him for things he did, does not make him guilty of such a horrific crime. If you are going to sentence someone, you better be sure he did it. In this case, that was not proven, at least to me. I have written Scott a couple of times, and I now have this opportunity to send my wishes to you. I would love to help in anyway possible. Things better work out for him. My thoughts and prayers.

I just want you to know that I support your son. I live in California and followed this case very very closely. I completely believe in my heart that Scott is not guilty of this horrendous crime.
As you are completely aware there is no evidence or witnesses to the murder of Laci and Connor so Scott SHOULD NOT be where he is right now. He was found guilty by a completely ignorant jury. The media and the incompetant Modesto Police convicted him from day one.
I have written to Scott twice so far and will continue to do so, I want him to know that he has several decent people that completely support him even if he cannot respond. I hope that one day I can be one of Scott's "pen-pals" when he feels he can trust his real supporters that they will not try to sell his replies, which I find completely unbelievable.
I also need let you know that the class that you have shown through-out this ordeal is amazing to me. You have not tried to capitalized/profit like everyone else, Amber, Scott's sister, etc etc etc.........As I have told Scott in my letters, anyone who profits off of this crime makes me feel very very sad, that they are so greedy and pathetic.
Try to stay strong and know in your hearts that Scott will some day be a free man. My condolences to you in your "temporary" loss of your loving son and your loss of Laci a beautiful daughter-in-law and your grandson Connor.
My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Peterson, I believe Scott is innocent this thing they call an investigation is a fluke, they had to pin someone so why not the closest to lacy. I just wanted to say 1st off Bless your Hearts!
I Support you and Scott, Its terrible the injustice of this case.
From day 1 I always knew something wasen't right about it. Im so sorry that you have had to deal with such Hate..I want you to know that I am doing what I can to help Support Scott and to get him out of that dreadful place. God be with your family. If nothing else I hope you find peace knowing there are people out there trying to help.

Jackie and Lee,
I have always felt from the beginning of tragedy that Scott was innocent, I am truly sorry for the anguish you must feel after having to accept the loss of your beautiful daughter-in-law and grandson.. only to be hit with the cruel reality of having your son accused and incarcerated of a crime he did not commit. May your stength and determination guide you through this time of sorrow and keep your spirits alive in knowing that one day your son will be aquitted through future appeal(s).

Mr and Mrs. Peterson,
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that I think you are awesome parents. I would be proud to call you both my parents.
Mr. Peterson reminds me a little of my own dad.
Do not let the "ugly" people of the world bother you, I know that is easy for me to say. Most people like that are not comfortable in themselves and need to down others to make themselves feel better, Others still see it on the news and forget that this is real, with real people and they tend to be insensitive because it is "something on TV". It is their problem and someday they will have to answer for every nasty comment they made.
You keep doing what you are doing and it will all be okay in the end. I sense it(no I am not psycic...lol I just believe justice will find a way).
I hope you guys get a chance to see this because I want you to understand that there are people who still think about you and your family often. I do not believe your son is guilty of this crime, and I am not alone. Someday the world will see.
Just know that we have to go through hard times for a reason. Some day you will be through this and the reasons may be a little clearer. Until then know that you have support and well wishers. God bless you both.

You two are the most incredible two parents I think have ever lived. The courage you have shown and the love you have dedicated to your son and blessed him with on a daily basis by supporting him is just amazing. Parents should be behind their children in whatever comes thier way but this is such an unusual circumstance and not to be taken lightly. You are proven to be survivors of a horrible circumstance. I am so sorry for the pain you have had to endure. I wear a bracelet to show my support everyday. I don't care what other people think. It's my own personal decision. God bless you both.
