No; because in Canada groups like us, Amnesty, Greenpeace etc cannot be 'charitable' and give out tax reciepts cause we are deemed 'political' and so under Canadian law do not qualify for charitable status.
And we take on most of the costs ourselves; with a few dollars to help pay the bills when crisis' come around but we don't have any grants or funding because most Canadian institutions want to support groups doing their work in Canada and since Canada has no DP that leaves us out and US institutions usually fund US groups....so we straddle a funny ground; and just do it ourselves and with some member help smile....
We do speak at schools and occasionally at universities around Canada....
