Like:
No innocent person has ever been executed.
99.9% of the inmates on DR are guilty.
ALL of the DR inmates claim to be innocent.
(please pm me the other comments that shows how ignorant pros can be.....)

I really think pros should stay in this section only, where the "description" clearly says that debate is appropriate. I think it's a shame that they sometimes post in other sections, obviously just to be disrespectful and disruptive. I felt so bad for the family of Brian Steckel when "Red" was so insensitive and rude to them. That kind of thing should never be permitted to happen... ever!
Although they claim that all sides are welcome on their own board, individual pros do not welcome anyone who firmly disagrees with them about the death penalty.
I really don't understand why those people are tolerated at all here, but at least "confine" them. They haven't earned the right to be in the company of civilized, decent folks.
I also think that we spend entirely too much time arguing with them when there are so many important issues on which we could educate and support one another.
Cookie, I am struck by the ignorant comment that the ones listed on the DPIC site who were exonerated were released on a technicality. The person who actually did the deed admits it and the wrongly accused person is exonerated... some "technicality!"

Why not just protect your main boards from the view or postings of pros? That seems to be a simple solution to an ongoing problem on this site. Only allow them access to the debate board. Seems very reasonable to me. Otherwise the constant deletion of posts int he middle of conversations makes your whole boards look very sloppy and difficult to follow not to mention it makes those who run the boards look a bit silly.

skyloom,
You are so right about them banning you on the pro sites if you disagree with them!!! I joined up just to see what they were saying, and only got to look on there once and then next thing I know I am banned. Would love to know their reasoning for banning me considering that I did not post one single message. There are some good pros who try to get their opinion across and do it in a polite and courteous manner. But maybe as klarity suggested access only to the debate board because that is what it is there for and then maybe the pros that are not polite and courteous can not do what they have done previously on here.

I have not posted in a long time, but I have been checking all of the posts and just want to point something out. Did you people ever think ignoring them would make them go away?

Dear Bridgette, My personal preference would be to make them all spend ten years on death row, not knowing if they were going to live or die, of course we would not execute them but they would not know that.
Love and hugs, Judy

Honestly I have hardly met a pro who DOESN'T make ignorant statements. The only pro I would allow here would be Truth, but he doesn't post anymore. Erick is a funny guy and I had some good conversation with him. All the other ones... I just ignore them. They make me sick, really sick. I need to save my positive energies for something better.

Yes, this is the debate area, however, we are not disrespectful to said inmates during debates in this area, therefor this post is deleted by Suzanne.

We don't want to keep pros out of here, we just want them to respect the board. If they want to come in here for civil debates, that's great (no ignorant comment, please, though). We'll just go on deleting comments and ban were necessary. We want other people to have access to most of the areas so they can read for themselves prior to deciding to join, amoung other reasons. We are about providing information about the "anti" death penalty movement. hugggz, Suzanne

I wonder how many wrongfully convicted sentenced to LWOP die in prison?...many antis advocate LWOPas an alternative...I don't see much difference between this and wrongfully executed
I think one point of commonality between pros and antis is to see that the legal system works properly

I think the one thing we can agree in is there is a need for prison and LWOP for those like Michael Ross who had NO remorse for his victims and as he admitted in an interview I recently saw, he continued to fantasize about his rapes/killings and had thoughts of fantasies about raping/killing others. There is a big difference in sending an innocent person in prison for the rest of their life and killing an innocent person via execution.
