OK, that is not a bad post at all. I want to comment on the hassling anti part though. Skyloom, you post on the pro board constantly, so you really don't have a leg to stand on on this point. Besides, I don't want you to leave the pro site. I do enjoy the conversations. If you call that hassling, well... Erick, I found the Crazy Pro board sort of by accident. When someone over there posted a link here, I checked this site out. You will take notice that I don't post as much on the Crazy Pro board these days because I feel I have nothing more to learn there. I've always opposed capital punishment, but I did want to understand the thinking of those who support it, and poke at them a bit. At this point, though, I think that once more folks actually do read and listen to the Crazy Pros as I have, the more the average person will be turned off by them.

Erick, it isn't right for me to kill someone. It isn't right for you to kill someone. Just because it is "lawful" for the states to kill someone, no matter what the circumstances are, doesn't make it right, therefore, lawful or not, it's murder. Hi Suzanna! That was not really my primary question, although it was part of it. I am well aware that you believe that the DP is murder and why you think that. My main question is: If the DP is the moral equivalent to murder, where does that leave the majority of Americans (such as your father) who support it? Does that make murderers of most of the population? Actually, I can't exactly say my Dad was pro. My mother is pro. Dad and I never talked about the death penalty, plus he was a Democrat. I will say that Dad defended Clifford Boggus on one of his Capital Murder charges and he got Life with that case. I remember him staying up late hours reviewing his case. He didn't represent him with the case which he received the death penalty. NONE of Dad's clients recieved the death penalty. When he was Proscecuter, he never said it, but I'm assuming he would have wanted CDE to receive the death penalty here in Grayson County, however, when he Proscecuted his case, we didn't have the death penalty, therefore, he received Life. Easley raped and murdered to little girls. I know he was bothered by this man, being that he kept the files/newspaper clippings about this mans case until the day he died. I have the files/clippings now. I've read them a time or 2. Those poor little girls died horrible deaths. The only resean I'm assuming he would rather CDE receive the death penalty is because back in the 70's, with a life sentence, you become eligible for parole much sooner. Now, it's 40 years, but back then it was much sooner. Dad would receive letters from the state when CDE would up come for parole and of course Dad would write his letter protesting his parole. CDE is still in prison today, but he still routinely becomes eligible for parole. It would have been nice if Texas had LWOP when we had no death penalty, but Texas didn't, therefore, CDE still becomes eligible for parole and he is still young enough to rape/murder other little girls if released. As far as those pro-dp people, no I can't call them murderers. I just think they are uneducated. They don't give the death penalty a passing thought. Those pro-dp people who cheer the executions, well, I really don't want to say how I feel about those people, assuming they are educated. I really hope they are educated about the justice system prior to them cheering at an execution. The ones who don't cheer, who aren't educated about the justice system, well, no, not murderers, just uneducated about the system, about innocent, flaws, etc., therefore, I'm set out to educate those people. My mother being a pro? No, I wouldn't call her a murderer. Being that she knows why I do what I do, and she is somewhat educated about the justice system, she would never cheer them on. Mom was raised a pro, raised a Republican. She was raised that way, no fault of her own. hugggz, Suzanne
