Executions punish everyone involved in them, not just the inmate. Every one brings all those involved in the case together in a great vortex of emotion, so that even MVS who support the death penalty, find them very traumatic in most instances. My thoughts go to the prison staff expected to carry out this barbarism - the most readily forgotten individuals. Executions take a heavy toll on prison staff.

The other victims know their loved one got a raw deal, because there are plenty of murderers who is serving life in prison - or even served for a while and got out. And as I have asked before - when pros blame the inmates for the pain their families go through, I wonder if the victims who died because they put themselves in a dangerous position is to blame they got killed? (For example drug deals that got wrong - or child molestors getting killed while in prison by another inmate, gang wars etc... etc...) I know you are not saying all the victims put themselves in the dangerous position....are you?

I have no sympathy for them whatsoever for they make the choice to be on the team. Out of all of this, they are the ones I am more mad at because I don't understand how someone could tie someone down and kill them. No sympathy at all...................

I am saying SOME murder victims did put themselves in a dangerous situation by joining a gang, doing/selling drugs.

Actually, I know a guy who was murdered....actually 2 different guys I went to high school with were murder because of drugs.
One was murdered in Dallas because of a bad drug deal. He was stripped naked and made to turn around and run.....shot in the back.
The other bad drug deal or the guy owed some people money because of drugs, was shot during a drive by shooting in his front yard.

Some of the victims may have put themselves in danger...But what of the staff at a fast-food resturant, or a clerk at a convience store, or a pizza delivery person...What of them? They have real jobs, they have families, they have cares...
