I do not think this was political...It may be viewed that way, but Gov. Perry had to follow the dictates of the court... But I also think those guys that were on death row are in for a rude awakening...They have been isolated on Death Row...Being in general population with meaner, younger inmates will not be easy on them, not will having to work at hard labor... What goes around, comes around...

hard labor? lol.....you don't know much about the texas prison system. Also, those guys have an advantage. They just got off Death Row, though they'll have new TDCJ No.'s, inmates are going to wonder "which one came from DR". Please, some will be in ad-seg, and some will be in ad-seg the rest of their sentence or lives depending on when the got convicted.

I have an idea...transfer them to Angola State Prison in LA...They will even be paid for working in the fields... The grand hourly wage of $0.04 an hour as a field hand... They could work their way up to driving a tractor for the wage of $0.20 an hour...

I know this probably needs to go into news articles, but I would like the opinions of what others think on this. Perry only followed what the supreme court ruled, but do you think the supreme court ruling was correct on how to look at juveniles or was their ruling political. i agree with you on one thing Shawni: politicians and governments do EVERYTHING good or bad just for political reasons always taking care of their careers and advantages... this time i am happy about their decision; they decided against killing juvies !!!!! I AM SO HAPPY SCAR !!!! Mo-DAWG

It is truly lamentable that the Supreme Court bullied TX to compromise true justice.

I actually think it is better this way...Do you think any of their friends are going to keep up with them? Do you think after 40 years of hard labor they will have anything but calluses? Their families will lose contact, their friends have left, and even penpals will lose touch...They will never have the chance to be married(not by Proxy), have children, watch their children grow up, etc. They are in prison for the majority of their lives... Do you think any of their fellow gang members are going to keep up with them...
