I read an article by Richard Rossi, who is on death row in AZ. He said that the death row prisoners are made to do hard labor in the sun. I do not know if this is still the case, but I believe that work and jobs are education are necessary for all inmates. Even ones on death row...They can still work and should labour.

I am not against people being made to work but the punishment was DEATH not hard labour added. That wasnt part of his sentence.
dont know if they still do it there or not
Richard Rossi has written many good articles.

Define hard labor...Troops in Iraq have it hard...Undocumented aliens from mexico do back-breaking work in the sun. People that work in fast food work hard...so please define hard labor for me...

Hard labour in Arizona is/was the chain gang in all sorts of heat. It was not voluntary. If you refused to do it you where still taken out in the heat and placed in a "cage".
Seems to me that is another sort of sentence. The sentence given out was Death, I dont think it said Death and hard labour on the chain gangs too.
My tuppence worth:)
