As a Canadian, I feel that this site NEEDS a thread devoted to the memory of Laci and her unborn baby.
(Edited by Sclcookie because though this is an area for the victims, we are still an anti-death penalty site. This area isn't for debating. Please remember if you are going to start a new debate in the debate area, it isn't to disrespect the families and friends of DR inmates....so if you're wanting to debate a particular case, please be careful in your debate.

It goes without saying that EVERYONE OF COURSE mourns the loss of Laci Rocha Peterson and her unborn baby that she and her husband Scott were going to name Connor.
Many of us dispute that guilt is nowhere near as certain as the media might want us to believe - and all of us here dispute that death is an appropriate sentence even for the worst most depraved serial killer; and certainly not for someone who had NO criminal record until this conviction.
Yes, all of us remember the loss of Laci and the Peterson's son-to-be. It was a tragedy; plain and simple.

I agree that Laci and baby will never be fogotten, yes they were mvs, I just dont think that killing anyone for there death is the way to go.... Someone told me a few days ago, We dont rape rapers, we dont steal from theifs, so why do we murder murders.... ( I apologise if I said this wrong, or if ppl cant understand this)))

You make completely sense. Let's hope Laci and the baby will never be forgotten and that the entire tragedy repsrented by their deaths will get lost in all the hype about Peterson. Whose possible execution will double the tragedy. I don't feel you said anything wrong at all. In any case, totally my own feelings about this and any other similar tragedies. --Turid |

There is a scholarship established by Laci's former high school in memory of her. Donations by check for the scholarship established by Laci Peterson's high school may be sent to Thomas Downey High School, c/o Laci Peterson Scholarship Fund, 1000 Coffee Road, Modesto, CA 95355.
