Its 2 years to the day since Holly Jones age 10 of Toronto was murdered.
The city still grieves for her along with her family - I don't understand why her killer didn't get life without parole ever....i don't think he'll get out in 25 yrs but he shouldn't have the chance!
For anyone wishing to attend also :

Remembering Holly Jones
It's two years today that 10 year old Holly Jones went missing while walking home in the junction. Holly's mother, Maria, has organized a candlelight walk to complete the route that Holly couldn't finish. This evening at 5:00 p.m., a candle light ceremony will be held at Perth Parkette, followed by a walk down Perth Avenue, where family, friends and even strangers will retrace Holly's last steps. Maria Jones will not be participating, she says the pain is still too devastating. She organized the event to keep Holly's memory alive. Holly was walking home from a friend's house when she was was abducted, raped and murdered. Michael Briere pleaded guilty to first degree murder last June, he recieved an automatic life sentence with no chance for parole for at least 25 years. Briere was a software developer who lived just blocks away from Holly's home.
