Hello Folks,
Since this is my FIRST post, I ask that you please forgive any "rookie" errors...not the least that I MAY be posting THIS message in the wrong freakin' area...! If so, please lemme know, ASAP.
Anyway.
I'll keep this extra (sorta?) brief, at least for now--at least until (If 'n When) I learn that I AM in the right place...and I DO receive any reply-posts.
My California-based Television Production Company has recently been commissioned by the National Cable Network, "WE: Women's Entertainment Television" to produce a follow-up to the 2-hour Documentary Special we produced, and they ('WE") aired last fall, under the title, "The Women of Death Row".
Please forgive this self-serving immodest braggadocio, but, well---last year's program was both a "huge" commercial success, ("The higest rated original documentary special EVER in the history of 'WE'" and a well-received, highly touted and, yep, Award Winning Critical Success).
Ergo: It's (to the Network) plain, old-fashioned good business to order a Show #2---and to me (to us) it's yet another opportunity to genuinely touch the hearts of the network's nearly 65-million subscribers. By genetics (and family history), I am a, uh---a preacher. Now, I get to, well---preach again; and in (God willing) an informative, emotional and, I hope, a powerfully entertaining way.
BUT I NEED HELP. In the 20+ years that I've been producing these so-called "serious, social documentaries", this show is the single most difficult program I've ever been involved with. I mean, c'mon: We're (duh!) asking these women (and their family members) to share with us the circumstances of the worst, most tragic, incident of their lives. AND, we must acknowledge, they're dealing with THEIR OWN, REAL-LIFE LIVES. Nothing here is make-believe.
So? So, IF any of you know of ANY woman/women who's either currently on death row OR was once on the row, only to have their sentences commuted---and MIGHT be interested in participating in my/our special, please let me know, ASAP.
You have my e-mail address. My phone numbers (Collect calls are happily accepted!) are: 310/860-5158 (office), 818/212-1172 (cell).
**Oh...By ANY chance, re: BLANCHE MOORE, Row Inmate from North Carolina...Does ANYONE know WHO her current Attorney is?
Again, Thanks!
