This is my first post. Several things brought me here; considering my location, one of them is, (you probably guessed it)- the WM3. I've worked in A&D, domestic violence and anger management counseling. Currently I'm working on a degree in forensic psychology.
I have to ask about the other issue now-and I'm probably off topic-but I don't know where else to look for help on this matter. Does CCADP take any stand on civil commitment? I'm sorry, I don't know what it's called in Canada. I'm writing a book about a case in Ontario; while the offender in question is undeniably guilty of certain crimes, he consistently maintains his "partner in crime" is guilty of the others. Of course I hear this all the time, but the circumstances of this particular case make me tend to believe this gentleman. Is there someone here I can talk to about this? Again, I apologize if I'm off topic, or in the wrong place; no one wants to hear about this gentleman, and I'm running out of options. Thanks, I'm glad to be here!

Canada doesn't have civil commitment - we have the Dangerous Offender system. It's part of the trial and sentencing so less likely to be over turned by the courts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangerous_offenderWM3 = West Memphis 3?
