Hi all. Guess at my age I am officially a day-old-chick today! ;D
Let's see: Most notably, I am against the DP; and am a "back-to-school" (parttime and some evenings, psychology) late-40's female who loves people and the outdoors.
I've only ever joined one other forum in a full-capacity but did register at one or two other websites to post a few of my views; essentially true crime is what makes me tick.
Never 'do' e-Bay or Amazon.com, lol!
Love children, animals and participate in many community projects and always on a voluntary basis. Can't sew to save my life but I do love cooking and gardening.
Actually, I don't live in the USA, though I've visited a few times and have distant family (father's side) in Canada. We are in touch regularly and I truly hope to get out to Canada one of these fine years.
Fave color: all shades of Lilac and mauve. Fave food: Thai Fave music: 60's 70's and Van Morrison Fave quote: Eleanor Rooseveldt: A woman is like a tea-bag; place her in hot water and she gets stronger.
Starsign: Cancer. Greatest strategist (IMO): Sun Tsu Dream Destination: Andes Mountains to see the Inca Trails Dream Job: Acrchaelogist (only in my dreams...!) Ambition: Do away with the DP

Thanks for the warm greetings, CCADP, ukfoto and tulla! I am enjoying the site, so far. Some messages are truly inspiring and these shared experiences only endorse my belief that the DP promotes added loss and pain.
This 'intro' section is a great ice-breaker, too!

Thank you, Moghirl. Nice of you to say. I remember watching an Oprah programme (yes, complete with the standard 'O' accessories: hugs and tears ;D ) called something like: There's A Story In EveryoneGreat title and great stories. But, like Rescue 911 that I used to be addicted to in the 80's and early 90's, her features all ended with huge lumps in everyone's throat. LOL! BTW I've also noticed the bubbly spirit of Mo-Dawg here, too. (Hi Mo-Dawg). Is the prefix of Mo being used here, short for Montana? 'Cos whenever I see your 2 forum names, I automatically think of that timeless song: One man went to Mow, Went to Mow a meadow .... LOL! ;D And it remains turning like a stuck record in my brain
