Hi my name is Natasha iam 30 married with 6 young boys, and live in Australia...
I must sadly admit that I was untill 5 days ago, unaware about the murders happening in America, under the curtain of justice....
Ive readed many story's on line from death row family's and friends and I relized that, I could have been standing in their shoes so easy, any of us could.... I dont understand how murdering someone for a crime they may or may not, have committed is justice. To me it just seems like a endless circle of violence..... The world needs to know what is going on, we need to stand up and say STOP, enough is enough..
I hope to start writting to a few of the men/women on death row, let them know that the world is watching , and yes we do care.... Thankyou for this message board informing the world of these muders and informing, pleople like me, that the dp is still happening.. God bless all and may god's peace be with you all, especially the men/women on death row. Tasha

Hey Natasha. Many people here in the US don't even know the death penalty exists. Pretty sad huh since it is supposed to be a deterent I'm glad you have taken an interest and you will not regret writing to someone and getting to them on death row. In fact, when I first wrote, I wrote thinking I was doing THEM a favor, when in fact it was the other way around. I learned so much about life through them. It's an experience you will never regret. Hello Natasha,
Joy is right, many people her ein the US don't know what is happening in our own country. I was one of those people for many years. I had no idea we were executing people. My eyes have been opened and I'm thoroughly ashamed.
Welcome to the board, it will be nice to get to know you!! And it is so comforting to know the world IS watching!
Hugs, Pam

Perhaps you can keep up to date with the application of the Death Penalty, in Asia as well. There are many Australians at risk of the Death Penalty in Asia.
It is not just the USA, that hands out the death penalty.
Otherwise Welcome!!

Barry Thanks for your hello and welcome..... Iam sorry if my post applied that the DP is only in the USA, I realize that it is happening in many other countries around the world and that we here in Australia, did at one time have the DP......
Barry yes there is a lot of aussies in asia (bali) at the moment facing the DP..... Most recently there were 9 aussies caught with drugs strapped to their bodies.... News stations did a interview with one of the bali 9 a 19 yr old from Brisbane, and he said he was in the pub and a s stranger walked up to them and offered them a free trip to Bali.....they thought nothing of it, went to bali and when they got there, they were warned that if they didnt take drugs back to oz, they and their family's would be killed....
Sad, so 9 aussie's in Bali at moment facing death penalty.......

I'm also Australian and The Bali episode is awful. All we can do is put pressure on our government by writing letters. I heard that the Indonesians were going to extradite the prisoners so they can serve life sentences in Australia.I hope this was not just a rumour. But in this country Marijuana does not rate the Death Penalty. Nor should it. I think the death penalty for a bit of pot is absurd.Complete over reaction. I hope I offend nobody but Americans are somewhat bloodthirsty especially Texans. The whole business of legal guns is irrational imagine it being javascript:adds(" ")constitutional to own a gun.It is unbelievable from my angle of vision.
