Hello everybody!
My friend Michael Perry would like me to greet you all and make you aware of the seriousness of his situation. For those who are not familiar with his case, please spare a little of your time and visit his official web site:
www.savemichaelperry.info
As some of you may already know, Michael has his federal appeal coming up on March 29, 2007. This date is crucial for him as it will settle if he's going to live or be killed by the State of Texas.
Since he is innocent of the crime he has been convicted of, execution would be nothing short of state-sanctioned murder.
Can we prevent this innocent man from getting murdered?
Yes, we can!
All Michael needs is a competent attorney to represent his case in front of the court. That's where you come in...
Please make a donation to Michael's defense fund, so he can get this attorney. Simply go to the following site and click on the PayPal icon.

Every little helps! Your donation will help to save an innocent man's life!
On behalf of Michael I'd like to thank you very much.
Kind regards
Chris
Michael asked me to post this blog on his behalf:
It's the small things that matter most
As a young man walked along the sea shore at dawn, he noticed an old man ahead of him. The old man seemed to be preforming a strange dance -1 or 2 steps forward -bend over - straighten upright - 3 or 4 steps to the sea - bend over - straighten up - turn - 3 or 4 steps out of the sea - bend over...
Over and over again the old man performed this ritual. His curiosity hurried his steps and the young man caught up with the old man. He saw the old man was not dancing, but was carefully picking up starfish from the sand and placing them gently back into the sea.
The young man asked "Old man, why are you doing his?" "Because the starfish will die if they are left in the morning sun," the old man answered.
"But the shore goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish everywhere!" scoffed the young man. "How can your efforts possibly make any difference?"
For a moment the old man contemplated the starfish in his hands, then, bending over, he placed the starfish gently into the waves. "It makes a difference to this one," he said...

Michael's words
I can only imagine the amount of times one tells themself "What good does it do?" Not knowing that in reality their efforts mean more than can be expressed in words. As humans we tend to only strive forward in times when we see "tangible" or "immediate" results. Never knowing that to give up hope is to maybe lose the opportunity to make a difference... to save a life...
I am a young man unjustly incarcerated on the notorious Texas Death Row, and against such a "monster", I can imagine and understand if one was to say "What good does it do?". But, as with this story of a man and his "quest" to save the stranded starfish, the same applies for us here on Texas Death Row... The fight might seem like one not worthy... It might seem like an "impossible" task... But as an innocent individual sitting in this lonely and cold 7x10 cage, I want to tell you it makes a difference... your letters, pleas to the public, donations, etc. could be the difference betwen life and death.
So, if you read this and tell yourself there is nothing you have to offer someone in my position, going through the day to day struggles I do, I'm here to tell you you're wrong. You have lots to offer. You offer me the simplest thing in the world... "A Chance".
In whatever you do, realize that success could be just around the corner. So never give up! You have much to offer!
