I know Alex and his wife Ailsa. They are some wonderful people. I was Alex's proxy when they got married. Another pain and struggle to watch.....

Yes but it is his choice to go... makes me wonder, because he is married and all... but I guess its not us to say if they are wrong or right making this kind of decision

What would they do if at the last minute he decided he wanted to live? I don't think that has ever happened, but I honestly don't know. In my point of view they would have to stop the execution because he still has appeals left... but I have no clue if they would...

What would they do if at the last minute he decided he wanted to live? He has a right to start his appeals up again. The execution would be stopped. However, Alex will not go that way. He wants to die............. The reason why is no ones business. Also, the reason why he and his wife got married is no ones business either. There is a lot to this story, as well as every other person on death row that no one knows about.

He has a right to start his appeals up again. The execution would be stopped. so technically he could eat his last meal, tell the guards he changed his mind, and then get another last meal at his final date?

so technically he could eat his last meal, say he changed his mind, and then get another last meal at his final date? No, he can't wait that late. He has to give his lawyers enough time to file an appeal to stop the execution.

No, he can't wait that late. He has to give his lawyers enough time to file an appeal to stop the execution. Well Injector asked what would happen last minute.. like say if he is on the gurney, everything prepared and he would say "I changed my mind, get me off here"... Of course it is nobodys business why he made this decision or why he got married.. but it makes you wonder what drives someone to make this decision, I wonder with each and every case of a volunteer...
