www.courttv.com (today Thurs only) SHOULD ALL STATES HAVE THE DEATH PENALTY ? They are doing a online poll and their viewers now are saying 76 percent to YES the death penalty should be in all states. Please go vote NO now!!!

Should the death penalty be abolished in all states? What a question! I have lost a loved one to murder and I am 100% against the death penalty under any circumstances, not only in the US, but all around the world. I have been a volunteer with Amnesty International for over thirty years, specializing in cases involving the death penalty. In my opinion, the death penalty is government run murder. I have lost many loved ones through illness and accidents but nothing compares to the grief of a murder. Instead of feeling angry of full of hate, I chose to honour the memory of my beloved David, along with his family, but setting up a scholarship fund in his name, (he was a professor of visual arts at the University of Toronto), and we are also planning a show of his paintings. Though my friend's murderer has not been found, a 'cold case', I forgive his murderer and feel nothing but compassion for him. I do not remember who said it but "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".
