Hello,
I am wanting to write to an inmate on Texas DR, I am from the UK so I was just wondering if anyone knows how long roughly the mail takes to get there. I would be very grateful for some info on this.
Cheers Chelsea

HI,
I write to Indiana from england and I know as long as you put an airmail sticker on letters they are then put on the first available flight out of the country and then its down to the US postal service. It takes mine between 5 and 10 days....usually around 5/6.

yes, but its also up to the prison guards. Sometimes they dont let the inmate have the letters right away. My hubby writes to one on DR in Texas on DR. He also went to visit him. We live in Mississippi and its about a 12 hr drive. Then you get to see your prisoner for about 2 to 4 hrs. And again its all up to the guards. And of course they are all innocent in there and found the lord all of a sudden. All I m saying, be careful. luv2fly58

there has been an ongoing problem with the mailroom in Texas. It's a matter currently being protested. It appears it reaches inmates on a rather cavalier basis on the whim of whomever is delivering it! I always write the date posted on the back of the envelope. At least it does enable one to keep track somewhat of exactly what's going on in terms of mail.
