How does one write to and/or visit an inmate who is on death row?

well those looking for penpals have their addresses listed on the site. I suppose it depends what you looking to talk about. I write to a few inamtes across America and in the UK, some are just quick notes every couple of months, some are regular, long detailed letters. You sort of have to decide the sort of person your looking to talk to. I personally would avoid those who straight up ask for money or legal help unless you actually want to help out in that way. However, most inmates will just want someone to talk to. as for visiting, your penpal will send you a approval questionnaire that you fill out and send back, the prison will then approve/disapprove you and your penpal will tell you their decision. I'm visiting one of penpals next June when I'm going to LA on holiday. He is in San Quentin...I'm pretty nervous!
