I think its much better not to legitimize these people at that board by discussing their craziness; or even thinking for a second about it....whenever you are effective at doing something; there will be opposition...some sane' some completely INSANE - leave them to chatter amongst themselves....

Tina thank you for all the great work you do; and for being there for me personally as well.
Those people are kids playing in a schoolyard...no one credits them or their words!

From
Dear Friends,
For the first time since Laci and Conner were taken from us, we feel we can pour everything we have into seeking justice for them. When Laci first went missing, although we had investigators, we did not have access to the tips being called in to the police. Once Scott was arrested, all those tips had to be handed over to the defense. While many of them were pursued, the primary focus at that time was the defense of Scott. That was not a choice, it was a reality.
Now that we have our appellate attorneys in place, our family truly feels we can focus on the investigation. There are many avenues left to pursue, and we will have some very specific ways you can help us in next month's newsletter. Our belief that Scott will be exonerated is unwavering and we thank you for standing with us in our fight for justice.
Thank you for informing yourselves and helping us to change one mind at a time!

Creepy "Blurb" For Latest Scott Peterson Murder Book—It's From Scott Peterson January 19, 2006 By Kimberly Maul
Death-row inmate and convicted murderer Scott Peterson has spoken from his cell in San Quentin to praise a new book about one of his murder victims—his wife, Laci Peterson. The book was written by Laci’s mother, Sharon Rocha.
Rocha released For Laci: A Mother's Story of Love, Loss, and Justice on Dec. 31, and it has since sold 45,000 units and landed at No. 4 on The Book Standard’s Overall Bestseller Chart.
On Dec. 26, Peterson posted an entry on his personal website, run on his behalf and at his request, through the Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty. In his latest entry, Peterson wrote about his views on a scholarship fund in Laci’s name at her alma mater, Downey High School in Modesto, Calif., that was established in 2003.
“I was pleased when a scholarship fund was established in Laci’s name at the high school from which she graduated,” he said. “It hurt when my donation from jail to this fund was almost rejected, but it was finally accepted.”
Phil Alfano, principal of Downey High School, commented on Peterson’s statement, saying, “This was the first I had heard of a donation made by him. I think it was made by his parents in his name. Basically, he’s not been involved in our school in any way, shape or form.”
After the school heard of the website, which also had links to the school’s website, the school asked the site to remove its association with the school and sent the Peterson family a check for $250, the amount they donated in 2003, Alfano said. Included with the check was a note asking to stop invoking any association with the school.
Later on in his post, Peterson praises Rocha for her plans to donate proceeds from the book to charitable organizations.
“If a rumor I heard is correct, my mother-in-law, Laci's mother, deserves applause,” Peterson wrote. “The rumor is that all the profits from her forthcoming book will be given to an educational charity, perhaps the fund at Downey High. I hope that this rumor is true.
“Some people have done things to profit off of my wife and son having been taken from me and murdered. The profits from this possibly going to charity would counter this disgusting trend. If the rumor is true, what a wonderful act.”
Rocha told Katie Couric on NBC’s Dateline that she has already given $200,000 to the “Laci and Conner Fund,” which Rocha established to help law-enforcement and non-profit search-and-rescue teams.
“My intention is to contribute to this,” Rocha said on the show. “I contribute to other organizations, to a scholarship fund. I plan on using the money to help other people.”

'CHARITABLE' SICKO SCOTT HAILS LACI'S MOM By DAVID K. LI Post Correspondent -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Email Archives Print Reprint VONAGE: Save big money on your phone bill. First month FREE! January 12, 2006 -- LOS ANGELES — Death-row resident Scott Peterson offered ghoulish praise for the mom of his murdered wife Laci, and boasted that he donated to her memorial scholarship fund. The murderous Casanova said he and Laci were longtime education boosters, and hoped a book by Laci's mom, Sharon Rocha, could help students. Peterson, 33, was convicted of murdering Laci, who vanished around Christmas Eve 2002, and their unborn son Connor. "We both volunteered at elementary schools during our high-school years. Later, we were lucky enough to do some things for our college alma mater," he wrote in an open letter to the Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty, which maintains a Web site for Scott and other condemned men. "We could have, we should have, done more. We gave money in our 20s, not time, and time truly is more valuable." Peterson said he donated money to a scholarship fund in his slain wife's name. "I was pleased when a scholarship fund was established in Laci's name at the high school from which she graduated. Thank you to those who did this," the killer wrote. "It hurt when my donation from jail to this fund was almost rejected." david.li@nypost.com www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/60234.htm

Updated to his webpage today at www.ccadp.org/scottpeterson.htm**NEW PERSONAL MESSAGE** Laci and I enjoyed supporting education. I believe that we both volunteered at elementary schools during our high school years. Later, we were lucky enough to do some things for our college alma mater. We could have, we should have, done more. We gave money in our twenties, not time, and time truly is more valuable. I was pleased when a scholarship fund was established in Laci's name at the high school from which she graduated. Thank you to those who did this. It hurt when my donation from jail to this fund was almost rejected, but it was finally accepted. I assume that this fund is active and productive, I hope so. The fund is at Downey High School in Modesto, any donation to it is a wonderful way to carry forth the memory of my wife. This is titled "Perhaps a Commendation" because if a rumor I heard is correct, my Mother-in-Law, Laci's Mother, deserves applause. The rumor is that all the profits from her forthcoming book will be given to an educational charity, perhaps the fund at Downey High. I hope that this rumor is true. Some people have done things to profit off of my wife and son having been taken from me and murdered. The profits from this possibly going to charity would counter this disgusting trend. If the rumor is true, what a wonderful act. - Scott

I can't recall; but I may have deleted it. I was deleting a bunch of threads that seemed to have a lot of personal attacks and sniping at people/members here....it was getting tiresome and no fun for new viewers to read....

It was a National Enquirer report. I haven't heard about it anywhere else. I doubt it. These are the same tabloid groups reporting he was a serial killer before the trial...

I get emails to CCADP every day from men writing to prisoners. Like most of the women we hear from; these people write for various reasons; an interest in human rights; legal issues; brightening someones day, religious reasons etc. It seems they are less likely to appear on these forums; but almost as likely if not equally as likely; to write to prisoners. (not romantic; most writing to men.) Though I can also tell you the women on DR get a lot of mail from men; some disturbing; to the point where one ended up asking for her address to be removed and for serious contacts to contact her initially through us....
