Updated to his webpage today at www.ccadp.org/scottpeterson.htm**NEW PERSONAL MESSAGE** Laci and I enjoyed supporting education. I believe that we both volunteered at elementary schools during our high school years. Later, we were lucky enough to do some things for our college alma mater. We could have, we should have, done more. We gave money in our twenties, not time, and time truly is more valuable. I was pleased when a scholarship fund was established in Laci's name at the high school from which she graduated. Thank you to those who did this. It hurt when my donation from jail to this fund was almost rejected, but it was finally accepted. I assume that this fund is active and productive, I hope so. The fund is at Downey High School in Modesto, any donation to it is a wonderful way to carry forth the memory of my wife. This is titled "Perhaps a Commendation" because if a rumor I heard is correct, my Mother-in-Law, Laci's Mother, deserves applause. The rumor is that all the profits from her forthcoming book will be given to an educational charity, perhaps the fund at Downey High. I hope that this rumor is true. Some people have done things to profit off of my wife and son having been taken from me and murdered. The profits from this possibly going to charity would counter this disgusting trend. Scott, in regard to a message I sent via this site just a few days ago.....not certain if you are able to read each and every message posted; hence I'll ask again....If you are indeed innocent of the crimes in which you were convicted, whom do you believe to have comitted this horrific act against your wife and child? Concerning Sharon's T.V. interviews as of late, when asked if she would wish to speak to you about the murders, she answered that she has nothing to say to you, because she cannot believe a word you say. I'm curious if you'd want to speak to her? I am not here to pass judgement, but rather concerned for any and all victims of crimes. If you are not guilty, then my sincere hope, is that the guilty persons are brought to justice and that you one day walk free. If you've a manner in responding, I'd appreciate your reply. Needless to say, Mr. Abrams was not too happy about it. I will say, this site gets alot of publicity. Not all of it is positive, but you know what they say, "There is no such thing as bad publicity". I don't know if that is true or not, but that's what they say  |

Mel I agree Abrams is a jerk. He's a media whore, imo. A tabloid talking head who only cares about keeping his job..... so he will do whatever it takes to get ratings.
Right now it's still open season on Scott Peterson for the media.
We know he will be exonerated. We know they will all have egg on their faces.

He basically said that it was wrong of Peterson to laud Mrs. Rocha. He did not say anything bad about the CCADP, he just said that Peterson's comments about Mrs. Rocha were very inappropriate. It was a no win situation...if Scott would have bad mouthed her, Abrams would have bashed Scott the same way he did for saying something nice. Abrams talks out of both sides of his mouth!! Well, Scott did not have to mention Mrs. Rocha at all. The Peterson case aside, I think that Abrams is a very smart and fair man. |

ABRAMS: My “Closing Argument”—even from his jail cell on death row at San Quentin, Scott Peterson is managing to get people riled up with his arrogance and gumption. He has released a statement on a Web page maintained for him by an anti-death penalty group. The statement addresses Laci‘s mom, Sharon Rocha, who just released a book about Laci‘s murder entitled “For Laci”. In it she also details how and when she became convinced that Scott Peterson murdered Laci and how Peterson‘s behavior during the trial just made things that much worse.

It‘s true. Sharon says she‘ll be donating the money to the Laci and Connor Fund. But Scott Peterson clearly just wants to rub salt in the wound, doesn‘t he? Commendations are nice from people who want to hear them. He knows how she‘s going to feel about this. The Rocha family has no interest in his flattery. Imagine a convicted rapist announcing that he commends his victim for speaking out against rapists or for donating money to rape crisis centers.
Let him maintain his innocence. But offering up commentary on
Sharon‘s actions? His statement also tells the public that he and Laci
quite enjoyed supporting education. And that together they were—quote -
“lucky enough to do some things for our college alma mater”. Please!
Just further confirmation that we need not be surprised by Scott Peterson‘s behavior.

good heavens..... just more proof that the media does not get it...... everyone is always saying that Scott is so horrible for not "acting guilty", but how is he supposed to act? He ISN"T GUILTY... DUH!!!! ;-)
I think it was nice of him to say nice things about Sharon. She doesn't have to "want to hear it"... it wasn't really written to her in the first place... but it is still nice. He could have said how bad it was that she was saying bad things about him in her book, but he didn't mention that. He is still trying to keep things positive and in such a negative situation and enviornment, I believe that is a wonderful thing.

I don't know about you, but i would love to solve the mystery, there's big rewards out there waiting for the person who can solve this horrific crime. half a million from what i've read....please give us the answer..... Well, dude, one doesn't have to know who did it, to feel Scott Peterson did not. To many of us, the evidence points AWAY from Scott Peterson..... You are free to debate it in the DEBATE section. |
