Jesus does not deny ANYONE that has asked for true forgiveness. It doesn't matter what a person has done at all. YOU writing this post on this board is mocking Christ. You don't know Jesus. If you did, you would not say these words. You are simply IMO a pro-death penalty person that "gets off" on seeing others WHO-EVER they are in agony. The thing you fail to understand is a lot of people that are on death row are way way more in tune with the bible than you are. A lot of them KNOW Jesus very very well. It is people like you that will be judged and not by a jury. By your maker that really really counts! I feel you need to go be with all of the killers that are for the death penalty. That is exactly what they are. They are the WORST killers because they have been stewing on the death of another for days, weeks, months, years. It is people like you talk the talk but don't walk the walk. God Bless you...........Directly and here by inferrence there are many passages that support the DP in the Bible and presumably Christ's support of the DP! The death penalty is again and again clearly advocated in the Old Testament! It's my feeling that some of the harsher uses of the death penalty were in times of famine, where like on the sinking Titanic, not everyone could be saved from death.. Christ i believe lived in a time where it was no longer neccesary to kill certain lesser "wrongdoers" to have enough food to feed a child.. or as on the Titanic let someone die so that a child would have a place in the lifeboat.. Christ very clearly never dissasociated himself from the teachings in the Old Testament, which are very pro-DP! scripturetext.com/matthew/5-17.htm QUOTE: "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill."5.7

Then would prisoners who are more intune with the bible know and understand the whole concept of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth? YO Hello? ? You just said Jesus was doing this. This is NOT the job of humans. It is Gods job to JUDGE all humans on this planet. HE and only HE is the real deal! What HE does is what counts. NOT what anyone on this planet does. I would start working on your own life and working to walk the walk with Christ and not try to "judge" others for ANYTHING. That is not your, my, or anyones job. Let God take care of all of this. A person that pushes that plunger pusher is JUST as guilty of murder as the one that is on the gurny. The one that signs the death warrent is JUST as guilty as the one that is standing there receiving it. ANYONE that is involved with the death of another in anyway is comminitting a crime called murder. God knows who all of them are. If you want someone dead, sit on a jury and give the death sentence, you are a killer. LET GOD HANDLE IT!!!!!!! Jesus' parable of the vineyard is in my opinion almost overwhelming evidence that Jesus did support or accept the death penalty at least in some cases! It would be very strange and contradictory for an anti to use such a parable with the death penalty being so self-evident as a punishment! In at least one other of Christ's parable the death penalty is mentioned in a matter of fact manner as it is here.. www.usccb.org/nab/bible/mark/mark12.htm Quote; Chapter 12 1 He ( Jesus ) began to speak to them in parables. "A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and left on a journey. 2 At the proper time he sent a servant to the tenants to obtain from them some of the produce of the vineyard. 3 But they seized him, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Again he sent them another servant. And that one they beat over the head and treated shamefully. 5 He sent yet another whom they killed. So, too, many others; some they beat, others they killed. 6 He had one other to send, a beloved son. He sent him to them last of all, thinking, 'They will respect my son.' 7 But those tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' 8 So they seized him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. 9 What (then) will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come, put the tenants to death, and give the vineyard to others.

Then would prisoners who are more intune with the bible know and understand the whole concept of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth? Most people misconstrue this proverb. It says no more than an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. It doesn't say you must punish one with the other.

Please do not mistake godhasitdown as a messenger for the Christian people. She speaks for herself and herself only. She spends her entire posts judging people, and then claims it is not her place to judge. She represents the worst of Christianity.
There are many terrific Christians, both antis and pros, who agree to disagree on very delicate issues but manage to coexist in an adult manner, knowing that we are all imperfect when compared to God.

Your making it sound like people doing their jobs and those who support the death penalty are actually worse then those who kill out of cold blood. YO Hello? ? You just said Jesus was doing this. This is one of the reasons why I am NOT a christian. All I hear from christians about crime and punishment is how Jesus (still)loves murderers and doesnt seem to give a damn about their victims....
