I have to say this...At the last execution, featuring Richard Cartwright, there was outcrys, there was anguish, there was sympathy, there is pity for his daughter and mum, the rest of his family. I was told to stay out of this while the event was going on... However, today, we had another execution of a man that killed a prostitute. His name was Alexander Martinez... There was not sympathy, no outcries, no offers of money for his family. We all know that I am a staunch supporter of the Death Penalty... So where were you when this guy died... He was executed, just like Richard Cartwirght...So where were all of you?
Was is because he was just a murderer...He did not have a little girl, supporters, a mum...Why not support this guy with a web page extolling his virtues?
Please explain this to me...

Sure; thats easy!
He has never written us asking for a webpage or penpal (if he had we would have made one of course) and none of his family or friends have joined this board; emailed any of us; or otherwise made their presence known for us to extend support to.

I'm only one person.....I advertised to help Rich. That is why he had so many supporters. Everyone who supports DR inmates can only do so much. I'm helping Alex in a way that you don't understand at the moment.....but in a few days, maybe you will.....depending on when I get my mail. Not all help for the DR inmates are public AKA on the internet. hugggz, Suzanne

I have to say I agree with mike on this one. YES I DO!! love Kxx Then I can give you some tips on how you can help the inmates you are helping in order to get more people to help them. Helping Rich was a daily struggle. We did it. We accomplished something big. Now I'm off to the next inmate AKA Clinton Young and possible one other (waiting on more mail). There are 440+ inmates on Texas Death Row....more than that in the US.....so we need 1 person for every DR inmate to advertise for each one of those persons. KRSScott....pm me if you would like to know what I did to help the inmate you are helping. hugggz, Suzanne

You know, Richard Cartwright was more popular than Alexander Martinez, mainly because of his writings... I am sure that if Bush died tomorrow he would get more attention than you... But he sure was not forgotten... maybe you should have listened to Radio KDOL last night, they did a special shout out for Alexander Martinez, and quite a few people called there as well or sent notes for him... So you might not hear so much about him right now, but he sure was not as forgotten as you might think

I'll tell you what I'm getting in the mail from him. I'm sure you're curious. I'm getting an article from him for the Uncensored. hugggz, Suzanne

You know what Mike it is hard. I do all I can to try to help Bobby but it never seems like enough. Do you expect every one of us to do the exact same thing for all 440+ There isn't enough time in a day

All 3000 people on Death Rows, actually...
I mean, put up or shut up...
Better talk to miles about templates and style sheets for pages...And support each and every person that is being executed just like Richard Cartwright...
Else you will lose credability...

How can one person support them all? You tell me? And like I said, Richard Cartwright had many supporters because of his writings, so he was well known. There are also some that do not want any support, that do not want to meet people, how can you set up anything about a person you do not know? Besides that most of the work in the abolition movement happens in the underground, there are many things you will never hear about if you are not directly involved in it.

Well, I think it is hypocritical...Support one guy, leave another out in the cold...Figures as much...
