This came to CCADP today via email :
Dear Sir,
I am writing to draw your attention to the fact that my friend Milo Rose, an
inmate on Florida's Death Row for the past 23yrs, is about to write to
Governor Jeb Bush, requesting for the third time that he sign his death
warrant. A copy of Milo's letter is enclosed.
Milo is a Native American from the Cherokee tribe, who has protested his
innocence since his original trial, which he claims was unfair. From 1983 he
has persevered against all odds to seek justice from a system that seems
reluctant to correct its mistakes.
In October 2003 he began to write a Journal recording the events and
difficulties he continually endures attempting to clear his name and obtain
a retrial. This can be seen on his website.

I have been writing to Milo for 13yrs, I hope you will consider publicising
Milo and his plight, as well as the wider issues of a person spending 23yrs
on Death Row for a crime he didn't commit. If you wish to contact me at the
above address I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
John Pollex

Dear Governor Bush,
Once more I find myself appealing for your compassion as the executive legal
administer for the state of Florida, to preserve and protect the integrity
of the law, through the singing of my second death warrant.
You have the power to help me expeditiously correct the grave miscarriage of
justice I have suffered for nearly 23yrs as an innocent wrongly convicted
and sentenced to death.
The record of my case clearly reflects that I was rendered with ineffective
assistance of counsel before, and at trial, due to the prosecutorial
misconduct of withheld exculpatory evidence in each aspect of the case
presented against me. The record also clearly reflects the State of Florida,
is guilty of rendering me with self-proclaimed ineffective assistance of
counsel thereafter.
Which the record will also clearly reflect prevented me from fully
developing the initial prosecutorial misconduct that would, and will demand
my conviction and sentence be overturned. If I were not certain of these
facts, I would not be making my third formal request to have my death
warrant signed.
I do know from experience that the legal system is not designed to correct
itself; I also know from experience that it won't, until it is placed under
scrutiny. You signing my death warrant will assure the desired scrutiny
takes place.
I pray you will honour my request!
Respectfully,
Milo Rose
