Phantasm scared the sh*t out of me. The first time I saw it, I was 13, at home alone and I had all the blankets and pillows I could find around me (I guess all that was supposed to protect me, lol) while I was watching it.

The movie that scared the crap out of me was "Last man on Earth" with Vincent Price...Another one was "Psycho" that really scared me. A girl I dated and I went to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL...The house was there, and at high noon, bright summer day, that house still scared the crap out of me...

I found out later "Psycho" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" were both based in truth... A man named Ed Giene(SP) had been digging up bodies...A real sicko...

Yes, I only recently saw the newer version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and that frightened the life out of me. Worse when based on fact really. Another film that left me speechless (ok, ok shut up the lot of ya!!! ;D) was Passion of The Christ. I was stunned.

I saw that too...the level of violence was hideous...To think that was done to people, much less the person of Christ...

I saw that too...the level of violence was hideous...To think that was done to people, much less the person of Christ... I remember coming out of the cinema completely at a loss for words. It was barbaric and I've read that Mel Gibman subdued the actual appearance of Christ in the movie because he stated that in fact Christ was unrecognisable as a human being when he carried the Cross, and that was WAY too much for people to see. It really humbled me. A good man, a Holy man treated like this. So sad. But well made movie!
