I know that this is a forum for the death penalty arguement, but can we discuss laptop theft and how to prevent it?
I use a plain looking backpack, a cable lock, and an alarm for my laptop...
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hehe.. i carry my laptop with me every day on a (2x) 2hrs trip to work.. i have a regular targus bag (toshiba sattelite pro 6100 = BIG).. no lock and no alarm.. when i sleep in the train i put my legs over it At work i just put it in a locker when i go for lunch, thats not the place i fear it getting stolen. I've seen a few people being lap-jacked here on amsterdam railway stations.. usually it are groups looking for tourist targets or people that aren't aware of them.. they do the old trick.. one asking for directions when others snatch the stuff.. I've seen your pic mike.. most likely they will pass by on your and look for a more easy target im sure
