Hi,
I don't know if any of you remember this, but back in 1992, Roger Keith Coleman was executed in Virginia's electric chair despite of compelling evidence that he was in fact innocent. I read the book some years ago, but I've moved so many times since that, i can't find it. I did a search in Amazon on his name, but nothing came up,.so I guess it's out of print.
A couple of years after I read the book, Rick Halperin sent out a news article regarding this old case. New investigation had been initiated with shocking results. (Not to me - the way the prosecution claimed the murder had been committed was psysically impossible unless Roger was able to fly).
Now I was wondering if any of you have heard anything about this case since. I'd be really interested in knowing what is going on. Every time I hear the pro crowd say that no innocent person has been executed in the U.S. of A, my thoughts go to Roger Keith Coleman who allegedly committed a murder and broke all the laws of psysics in the book + some!
It was even in the news here in Norway. An interview with Roger Keith Coleman, saying he was sorry for the family's loss, but that he did NOT kill Wanda McCoy. I'll never, ever forget that interview!!
Those who might be interested in looking into this, check out: www.quixote.org/ej/grip/reasonabledoubt/Roger%20Keith%20Coleman.html
If you know something about what has happened in this case, or if you have information as to where I can look to find more information / contact information to someone I could ask, please let me know! As I've said in one of my previous postings, I want to make something on cases like this - where we know for sure that a wrongful conviction has resulted in execution or where we can say that any person in the right of her mind would say that "This person must have been innocent".
Also: If there is anyone out there with information about David Spence (Texas), please post.
Thanks!
Love,
Turid
