Ben, its' almost impossible not to form an attachment of some sort, despite the apparent short time. You, should you be willing, however, you can offer support and your friendship, at this particular time, would, I'm sure be very welcome. No, it isn't 'wrong' to become attached in a short time. Most of us form attachments to varying degrees with those with whom we correspond. It's human, sometimes painful, only, at the end of the day, you've offered empathy and extended a hand to someone desperately in need.

Ben, I am sure that your pal is definitely going to need your friendship and support at this time. And Janet is right. There is nothing wrong with forming an attachment in a short amount of time. I have formed some really strong friendships in such a short amount of time and as Janet said it is only human to have these feelings. Smile, Ness
