Today I posted my letter for Howard......I put some photos i the envelope as well. On our dog´s and horse´s.
I´ve been reading his letter over and over again.
Just thinking: How can a man who been treated as dirt, still feel love? I´ts amazing how strong we can be.

superswede - I want to commend you on writing to Howard Neal. I ran upon his case while reading about other DR inmates and I must say I have never read a story such as his that touched me in such a way as his did. While I understand that every DR inmate is as important as the next, I just think more attention and concern by the public should be placed on inmates such as Howard, someone who doesn't have any family, any friends, essentially no one. For the readers of this post please know that I am not attacking anyone or intending to show any disrespect, however I have noticed the majority of penpals for inmates are those of high profile cases, cases that most everyone in the free world have heard about at some point or other. Then there's people like Howard who seem to sit on the back burner possibly because he is said to be mentally challenged, he came from poverty and he has no family or friends. Having said that, I think it is important to remember that all of that does not make him insignificant or any less worthy than the rest of the inmates that are so adamantly supported.
superswede - if/when you get a response from Howard please let me know. I would also like to write to him.
