I wrote a letter to JOHN ALBA. He is currently on DR in the Polunsky Unit in Texas ..... the hardest thing he said that I still haven't digested yet is, he said since he's been on DR since 1992, he's seen 350 of his fellow inmates go the "Chamber". Wait...Chamber??? Do they only do lethal injection in Polunsky or do they do the electric chair or?

On the day of the execution, the inmates are put in a van and driven from the Polunsky unit in Livingston to the Walls Unit in Huntsville. There is no death chamber in Polunsky.

*Whew* That's good to know.....John Alba sounds really nice and I don't know what I'd do if I knew he was gonna die by gas or electric chair.

No, what I mean is, I've heard that lethal injection is a more humane way, if the state is gonna be idiotic and kill the inmates......

Just wanted to say that I just sent off my 2nd letter to John Alba.......he seemed genuinely touched that someone on the outside (who is a stranger, mind you) would take compassion on someone such as himself. I really feel for Latinos you know? My little girl is half-cuban so, I have a heart for Latinos, which is why I wrote to him.

I corresponded with John Alba once and then he wrote me back once.....I never heard from him again, until last week. Seems there are some legal things going on with him, what I'm not clear on exactly. Anyway, just wanted to say that it was nice.....and a SHOCK.....to have him write me after not hearing anything for almost a month and a half .....Glad to know he's still around
