Hi everyone,
Some of you may have already heard about my documentary project, Love Behind Bars, which I am currently researching.
I would love the opportunity to speak to people who have loved ones in prisons. Our programme will follow all different types of relationships. We are UK based so the majority will be British partners who have their other half in a British prison. We would also like to speak to European people who have a partner in an American prison. In particular we are looking for younger people, especially those who have families or would like to start a family soon, because we feel that their situation must be particularly tough.
I understand that some people are wary of sharing their story after bad experiences in the past. I'd like to reassure you that our observational documentary seeks only to follow peoples lives and explain their stories.
Being involved in a TV programme can provide the opportunity to reach out to others in a similar position and share your experiences of struggling against the system, the hardships of prison visits and coping with the loneliness.
I'd love to have a confidential chat with anyone who would like more information about the programme.
