What I find so interesting is that he himself has joined in the publicity wheel, you can't deny that! How so? Because he is hoping that he can turn to the public to get help since the court and media turned against him? How does that make one a master manipulator? Im sorry..but thats a far jump comparing him doing that to someone like Amber or Sharon cashing in. Scott cant personally cash in where he is at...all he can hope for is that people see what he says and that they might help. After all, he was alienated by the majority of the world. And people like yourself calling him a manipulator, isnt helping those of us who truly think he got a raw deal in the court system, and media outlets. Oh...and you cant deny that! |

exactly. Scott did NOT write to the media. He wrote to US - the CCADP - like hundreds of other death row prisoners(nearly 1000) do. His message was not directed to the media; but to his SUPPORTERS those who have already taken an active interest in his case. He DID not write to the media; and I am sure they have written to him in an attempt to get him to respond. He answered those who have been kind to him.
Media often monitors our prisoner pages - they are very well known and have been covered for years in US, Canadian and international media. Media have been checking our CA pages for months to see if Scott had sent in stuff for a page; when it went up it only took days for the US media to get a hold of it. Peterson asked us to post that message on his page. He did NOT ask us to make the media aware of it; or to do interviews or to make a big deal of it. We have been telling media its a NON story; just a simple statement of thanks. Its the MEDIA not Scott; his family; his lawyers or us; that asked to cover this...

People need to get a grip and realize exactly what you just said. The US media is so hell bent on keeping the demonization of Scott Peterson alive and well (so people don't even consider he might be innocent) that they tried to twist and pervert a simple note of thanks to supporters into something sinister and newsworthy! How pathetic is that? We have a WAR going on right now in Iraq! Almost 2,000 Americans have died! But our good old American media gets worked up over Scott Peterson sending a thank you note. I gotta ask people abroad....... are we the laughing stock?? |

I am a Scott supporter, I have been since reading the facts of the case. (I started on the other side  The media can and does exploit what they need to in order to make a story "newsworthy" its what makes it sell. Watch the news about the war in Iraq, we don't hear about the service men and women being killed like we did in the beginning. Lord knows we don't hear about the number injured. It's almost becoming a non-issue. But Scott Peterson sends a note of thanks we hear that on the 6:00 am news and for the next 24 hours NON-STOP. Similar to the Natalee Holloway disappearance. It's been 60 days and it's constantly front page news. What about all the other missing men and women? It's all a matter of what they want to sell. Our media is no longer about reporting the news, it's about propagandizing what they want us to know. |

Hi I have I something I have wanted to say for a long time to you guys! My husband has been going through criminal stuff in the state of Tennessee now for since December 2001.He used to be a police officer here and when at trial they do not care if you are guilty or not they make you look as bad as possible and the judge is either for you or against you. And the DA can make the jury believe almost anything,unless you have all the money in the world you do not stand a chance(OJ Simpson).This is a very unforunate case and my prayers are with you all.To be honest I do not know whether Scott is innocent or not I do not know the man.But one person does and that is God get your heart right with him if it is not and he will take care of you.I promise that.

i have sent you 4-5 letters and had no idea about all of the crap you are going through with the mail!
that is pretty sad. I wouldve really enjoyed hearing from you but I understand why now that you cannot respond! i plan on keeping in touch for as long as you allow. maybe as time goes on, you will be able to trust more! I hope you are doing ok! i think about you, laci and your baby, conner all the time. for some reason, your story stuck to me and i consantly think of you all as if I knew you. Anyway, i will be sending you another letter soon! take care!

Once you destroy someone's reputation, character, standing in the community, you can't rebuild that with an "OOPS! sorry" There needs to be checks and balances and the damn media needs to stay out of the middle of these cases. (I'm not going on that soap box. I'd be here all night. ;D I'm sorry about your husbands legal troubles. My prayers are with your family. |

Thats exactly what he meant; that has happened; people that presented themselves as supporters and then tried to sell their stories and some even sold letters from what I understand. There's a thread here ( i think in specific cases) where people can leave personal messages and good wishes that will be printed up and mailed to Scott by CCADP or Maggie... |

I've seen one letter in a CA paper...not sure if it was sold or not. But they have been sold on ebay; there was one listed for sale for 300 or 500 dollars just a few months ago. That kind of thing is common. I have even heard of prison guards stealing letters and filled out visitors forms for high profile prisoners and selling them on ebay...

God Bless Scott, and his family. God, keep them all safe. and let them find through GOD, all is possible. Keep him safe, no matter what happened, we were not there, and we do not know. We are seeing a payback for O.J. SOrry, evidence was not enough. Sorry that all this happened, and the truth will be revieled one day. Just Pray.

Wow have never seen so many people obsessed with a wife/baby killer. Really turns my stomach. Say it was your husband/wife/son/daughter that killed their spouse and child?? Would you feel the same. He was convicted, bottom line. He is a phony, fraud and liar. So many people so desperate for attention that they goto the extremes to idolize someone like Scott Peterson like he is a rock star. Get over it, get a grip and move on.. idolize? that's the wrong word. "support" would be more appropriate. Actually, YOU'RE giving Scott and his supporters lots of attention. And what is wrong with seeking attn. when it comes to something you so strongly believe in? Absolutely nothing! It would have been nice if a few of us got the media attn. we were seeking prior to May 19, 2005, however, that didn't happen. It wasn't for the lack of trying for sure. I think you few are the ones brainwashed. This isn't "bigger" then Scott Peterson, this is the Scott Peterson discussion area. And idololize is the perfect word for it. Let it happen to your family and then see how you "feel" about the person they convict. He gets at least 5 marriage proposals a day, 40 letters a day, and all this attention, because he is a wife and baby murderer. Maybe someday you can wakeup and see him for who he is. Some people are too naive to open their eyes and see the truth, evidence and motive, rather they just sit behind their computer and pretend they know. shadez, Let me ask you a question.... why are YOU hanging around this section? You remind me of an old poster here, "Mike", he didn't have anything better to do either. If you would have read my previous post, I said the ISSUES in this case are bigger than Scott Peterson, I didn't say anything about an area on a message board.
