OUR GOAL IS TO
* offer direct "client-centered" victim services
* strive to remove linguistic, financial, physical, social or cultural barrier to provide more equal access for people of all abilities
* provide services, the CCVF founding principles, personal involvement by the founders (themselves victims of crime) and our sensitive timely response to clients' needs, will set us apart from other similar agencies
SERVICES
* in cooperation and partnership with public based services and programs
* to educate police officers and front line staff on victim needs in their time of need
* to support the police (with victim consent) and the officer in charge with immediate crisis intervention, counselling, follow-up, assistance with criminal injuries compensation, trial assistance, minimization of re-victimization and referrals to supportive agencies

* community awareness & education
* support and counselling
* crime scene aftermath management
* long term support
* tracking of victims
CCVF Speakers Bureau has been established to:
* participate at various engagements to provide the support and resources
* establish awareness of rights of crime victims
* present, promote and encourage anti-bullying initiatives
CCVF Professional Counselling & Support Services assist in the areas of:
* "case resource manager" in identifying potential involvement with various existing social agencies
* grief and emotional counselling
* victim assistance with court appearances, parole hearings etc.
* instruction and education to effectively deal with matters in the judicial system
* assistance and support with employers
* support in crime scene aftermath management
Financial Counseling:
* CCVF can provide financial counseling of victim's finances and assistance with social agencies in dealing with post traumatic issues such as funerals etc.
Education:
CCVF have the ability to work with:
* police, social service agencies and exiting victims services to clearly understand the special needs of victims and the continual redefining of delivery of victim support services
* provincial and federal governments including legislators in the development of laws, policies and programs, assisting victims of crime in Canada
Workshops and seminars:
To support:
* families or individuals who are victims of crime
* counselors, social and medical services, community human services and support staff
* volunteers, community organizations
