any comment on these posts by your friends over at the pro board; Truth1? this is how quickly things degenerate into personal attacks over there - and what we refuse to let happen here!

ya know the pro board can be a very rude place if ya not used to it or if ya care people calling ya names or trying to insult ya.....i even tell sensitive antis not to go there if they can´t handle it...but i can also tell ya there´s pros you can have very good and serious conversations with ...but well since there is also other kinds of pros there i can just repeat myself: if ya can´t handle the foaming and barking ones too and if ya a sensitive person then better stay away from the pro board.....we are sum antis there to discuss with the pros and well if ya don´t give a dang for sum foaming poor-f*cks being there too you can meet a few intelligent and passionately discussing people there... To the thoughtful and intelligent young person who tried to post on Crazy Pros:
Please excuse the formal greeting, but I don't know your name. I have not, as of yet, gone to see your post, but rest assured I will. I apologize that you were met with such an unfriendly welcome overthere. That seems to be customary. The first time I posted, I made the mistake of calling the death penalty barbaric (even though I think it is) the response was sadistic lambaste; but don't let it get you down. If you keep at it and keep your cool eventually they will calm down and a few will even listen to what you have to say.
It is not advisable to try and change minds over there. They feel just as strongly as we do over here...and they can respond somewhat brutally when they hear the opinion challenged; but that doesn't mean you can't benefit from your time there. You can listen and learn what the pro opinion is based on so that you can learn to educate those who know little about the issues surrounding the DP and those who might be undecided. I am confident that with education rational people will make the right choices.
I saw one response to your message that I can agree with: I too applaud you for your social conscience and for your thoughtfulness. Please keep up the good work little freedom fighter!

Well it now looks like they have removed all the rude responses; leaving in an edited version of a few not rude and a few anti death penalty ones...without comment all the comments showing their true colors removed...! well; we have it here for posterity!

Yes Rude
They say they are intelligent informed people, well if they really were, you think they could atucally post something that would prove their belifs and try to show the reasons why they are for the dp, but no instead they choose to insult a 13 yr old...
All I can say is that one day this 13 yr old and many others, will be able to vote, who knows maybe they will enter politics, and god willing the dp will be abolished by these inteligent 13 yr olds.

Bourney, don't let these horrible abusive people put you off. I'm appalled they could talk to a 13 year old in this manner. It really says it all about the type of mentalities in the ' PRO' camp. 'DULL RUSTY NEEDLES' Charming

I am always encouraged to see young people take an interest in the world around them. Even though I dont agree with you on this instance.

Hey Bourney, you get my respect every time.
I always find it amusing when adults tell teenagers not to think about the evils which are perpetrated in this world. They often have this appallingly patronising attitude - don't worry your little head about it, and go do your homework.
But let's look at the evidence before us:
Who killed Jesus? Adults.
Who murdered 100,000 Iraqis for oil and a lie? Adults.
Who perpetrated the holocaust? Adults.
Who should know better? Adults.
On the other hand, tonight I asked my kids what they'd do if they had a million dollars. They all said 'I'd buy something nice for you and mummy, and I'd give the rest to poor people'. They had a good discussion about it, and agreed that it wouldn't be fair if they kept it all. I asked our youngest, Tom, who is ten, what he would do if he were president. He said:
"I'd make sure that the earth doesn't heat up too much, I'd stop people doing the things which make the sea rise, I'd make sure all the poor people got food. Then I'd share the money out equally, I'd stop wars, and I wouldn't let people get killed for being a different colour."
That's the most credible election manifesto I ever saw, and Tom is TEN. What the hell is Bush doing in the White House? If this world was fair, that'd be our Tom's job, dude.
The lesson for today is this: adults, learn from your kids and don't patronise them. Ever. You want a better world? Listen to kids, they're clued in. Stop pretending their 'idealism' is anything other than crystal clear sanity.
Kids are cleverer than we cynical, greedy adults are Bourney, because they haven't learned how to be a pack of self-interested grab-asses yet.
You are a credit to us all Bourney, never lose your sanity by growing up and becoming a closed minded adult.
You rock, and we're proud to know you.

The Pro-Death-Penalty page tends to fabricate reasons to shut those up whose arguments they´re not willing to accept or those they can´t get a grip on...i see it as their capitulation and an honor for myself as well as a confirmation of the truth of my arguments to be among those they banned ;D ;D ;D bow wow wow.... I am pro-death penalty, but I would never be that rude to anyone, much less a child. The child in question did ask a reasonable question and deserved a resonable answer. He certainly did not deserve to be treated like he was.
