Oh my gosh - I am so; so sorry to hear about this - I hope that somehow the family is finding a way to heal in what must be an impossible situation.
Please pass on our good wishes to the family. And thanks for maintaining your stance against the death penalty., people always think that if you are against the DP you'd feel differently if it affected you; I so often see that this is not the case.
and tasha - u are so right....I know of two young men whose fathers were executed on DR and they did nt grow up with them who are under murder charges right now....i can't imagine how kids can go on living in a state or country that killed their father. Lonnie Pursley had three kids all young adults. I can't imagine how they must feel as well...

I wouldn't wish what we are still going thru on anyone else's family. His family has done nothing to deserve punishment. It is bad enough that they are now questioning themselves as to what they could have done to prevent this, is it something they did or didn't do. And it is my understanding that he comes from a good, close, loving family.
