Ex-Boarder Found Guilty in Shootings
A former boarder has been convicted in the 2004 shooting deaths of a Jacksonville man and his 13-year-old son.
Thomas Eugene Bevel, 23, faces the death penalty when he is sentenced Sept. 6.
Philip Sims was visiting his father, Garrick Stringfield, 29, when they were fatally shot with an AK-47 assault rifle at Stringfield's home in February 2004. Bevel had been a boarder in Stringfield's home.
