Allow all posts. If anything maybe make a specific place to choose to read thier comments. But would it be right to not hear them? After all, its these people i assume that help put and keep the DP in effect. We need thier insight ie;fire, to help us ie; water, to douse da flames.....If we don't know where the fire is, how are we to help put it out? thanks joe because the stuff "spouted" on pro sites will not be tolerated here. We have a little more class than to accept insults, degrading posts and hate.

It's a difficult one. Pro's should really be allowed in, and like some have said it could encourage healthy debate, open up minds, etc. I am fairly new to this, but am aware of how enthusiastic the pro-camp are for executing people, and as this site is available for friends/close relatives of D.R.P's, it will probably degenarate into nasty, barbed comments and replies.
How about a month trial?

hey; I am not really taking part in conversations that are going on between people on here and some pro DP, but I thought it was a good idea to share opinions and stay open to communication. Anyway, from what i read, i think that if Pro death penalty people ( who have been kindly and abidingly accepted in the forum...) always split from the presupposed that inmates are monsters, unhuman and must die... well.. communication is really hard then... and it can be unrespectuf for all of us who love people on death row. talking about me personally, I've already clear in my mind my reasons to love someone convicted and on death row, and I have no intention to discuss about this on here. If you, pro death penalty people are here only to say that people on death row must deserve only death, .. well.. I can imagine that you think this... otherwise you wouldn't agree death penalty.. so say something new and try to respect.

How about a month trial? Hi, I tend to agree with you. There is no reason why a pro-death penalty person shouldn't be allowed to discuss here, and we do have some. However, we also have some who are not. What about those? How many warnings and how many hurtful comments should they be allowed to post? I don't talk about those who behave themselves and who talk to the rest of us in a respectful manner, but those who don't. Love, Turid

don't worry; someone is getting pretty close! and better start being respectful ...people can tell from reading that some are just here to cause conflict. It won't be allowed to go much further.

As long as it's respectful healthy debate it's got to be a good thing, any 'hateful ' stuff and they're off the board, fair enough? Discussing the issue with our opponents is never going to be easy but communication is the way forward.

I was talking about those who don't have the ability to discuss i manner which does not stir up flame wars, name calling, etc. Just in case I was being misunderstood. Love, Turid

Hi! I'm anti dp. But, I am not an antagonistic person and differing views always raise hackles. It's best to always step away, review and breathe in before starting again.
I tend to agree with terri, ela and sockratts. A 'Pro-DP' place to air feelings. That should keep the debate restricted to one area as opposed to having anti-views dotted all over the place.
Provided people do not attack, their views should be considered because banning them from a discussion only gives DP supporters more fuel to their fire.
Just today, had I not joined this forum, I'd not have had the opportunity to see the 'shoe on the other foot' regarding a letter written to a newspaper. My eyes were OPENED by logic and not through bias alone.
So too, by allowing pro-DP posters, they get a chance to navigate the forum and read some incredibly deep, genuine and very touching REAL LIFE situations. Maybe they'll begin to understand both sides? Who knows.
My purposes for joining forums is to educate myself. If an argument arises (or looks that way), I'll step away. With luck, pro-DP folk will think the same way!
JMO, Moon.

Personally, I'm universially opposed to the death penalty, but that does not mean that I mind discussing the issues - RESPECTFULLY. Aside from that: To me, it seems that we're basically saying the same thing, but using different words to express our opinions. Again: I'm glad you came! Love, Turid
