New Trial Sought In Girl's Death

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A Wagoner County man is ordered to face trial in the death of his 15-year-old stepdaughter.
Oscar Patterson-The-Third is accused of killing Tiffany Beverly in 1997. He was convicted in Tulsa County in 2002 of killing Beverly and was sentenced to death.
Patterson's conviction was overturned by the Court of Criminal Appeals based on testimony of a prosecution witness.
District Attorney Richard Gray says he is seeking the death penalty. Gray says Patterson had been molesting the teenager and killed her because he was afraid she would tell police.
