As we all know, the Supreme Court ruled that those that are on death row that committed murder at 17 cannot be executed. Well, Texas has 28 guys that were 17. I just got a letter from my husband today and he gave me some information that I thought I would share with you all to let ya know that Texas is finally doing something about this ruling. "They came and moved all the guys the Supreme Court ruled in favor to E-Pod. So E-Pod is basically level 2 and all 28 of those guys. So they doesn't have long before they are shipped out. They're probably going to classify them and they'll get visits on Saturday and Sunday as population does." I know this has to hit Texas hart to have to let go 28 guys... (said sarcastically)

Yes, but to spend the rest of your life doing hard labor with a hoe does not sound like fun either. Texas expects hard labor at the prison units. No place to be...

You got it Mike - its NOT fun; and its not meant to be fun; its RIGHT that they should be harshly punished for murder; its just WRONG to kill them back!

But anyway it's good they are moved to general population. I remember this interview with oswaldo soriano, he must be quite 'happy' as all the rest. I hope some of these guys will make it all the way.

I drove past a prison unit on my way to El Paso a couple of years back...Lots of guys in white uniforms with hoes working in the fields.
What really had to hurt was when I was in college, the road in front was being cleaned by a group of prisoners from Zephyr Hills Correctional. The pool was very near the road, it was afternoon and hot in Florida. College girls in bikinis and no way for the inmates to talk to them...

What does "classify" mean? So will they be sent back to the county for re-sentencing or is their death sentence automatically overturned to life? I think there sentence automatically gets reduced to life. When anyone enters the prison system, they are evaluated and classified as to what prison would be best for them to be in. So, what TDCJ will do is evaluate these guys and decide which prison to send them to.

(said sarcastically) one of my friends falls under the new law and he told me they were taken to F-pod but would be transferred..he´s still not sure if they gonna let em go to general population since the state seems to see it as a "privilege" to let em go there !!!!! and yes Texas seems to be pretty pissed for not being able to execute them boyz and they let em feel it....it doesn´t really matter too much anymore since some of them(maybe all) including my friend already received their clemency papers.... God bless !!! Mo-DAWG

Thank you for letting us know, Joy. I just got a letter from my loved one. He wrote me that all juveniles moved to F pod. He also wrote me that some are very scared to go to general population because of the rules between prisonners...They have no idea what is going to happen.
