I arranged the religions alphabetically.
They say never to discuss religion and politics. I am answering first; with the top one. Everyone?

I hope no one gets mad; me picking the first one.... don't want to alienate anyone My philosophy is - I think this life is all I have and I believe its my (and everyone's) responsibility to leave the world a better place when they leave it; than it was when they came in ). I love and respect all those; of any religion or philosphy or lack thereof; who are doing their small part to make a better world.

I am a 100% atheist.
I don't believe in a god or an afterlife in any form, i respect others who do believe as long as they give me the same respect. I sometimes wished i would believe, it would certainly make things easier.

Catz Altho I always thought I believed, it wasn't until the sudden death of my Mum last August that I had many questions I needed answering. My heart needed help. She was never baptised, so I had her baptised hours before she died. It was a humbling experience. Today, the grief is still there, but I do feel that there 'must' be something out there, otherwise what's the point? ;D Anyway, I look at it this way, a poor holy man with no P.R Agent/Company at hand, only had 3 years to start a global religion. 2000 years ago! And look what a 'hated' man at the time, achieved! It's awesome to me. Ok, Miles shuts up!

I do believe in things that we don't know yet, but that are things that can be scientifically related to our own brain and being.

I can also imagine it was a beautiful thing for both of u. My grandma died last year, she was very religious (cath) too, she was totally at peace because of her belief. I really think that is a beautiful way to leave this world, wherever one's heading.

same as you. a non believer. just want to add here that the death of my mother nearly killed me. i was deeply close to her. i think when you are faced losing someone THAT close, questions arise, where they may not normally come about. I NEVER understood what it was like to lose a loved one until then. It's completely devestating. Your entire WORLD collapses and NOTHING IS EVER THE SAME. Until anyone get's to that dreadful level, I don't think ANYONE will truly understand. I simply DO NOT 'DO' DEATH. It's VILE.

I am a Christian and have a deep faith and an otherworldly sense of how some of the afterlife works. I was with my dad when he crossed over a little over a year ago and while it was heartwrenching (and still is) to be in this world without him in it in a tangible way, I know he's gone home. There was no turning back for my dad, and he was reluctant to hurt me by his leaving because of all of the grief my heart has endured over the past few years in regard to Josh, but I assured him from a place of knowing in the depths of my innermost being, that it was all right for him to go home and be with my mother, who crossed over in 2000. I told him that time passes differently where he was going and that my sister and I would be there with him before he knew it. Don't ask me to describe or explain how I know what I have come to believe, it just is a part of my being; a knowing beyond understanding. I just simply accept it.
