He was in prison. He said he was innocent...the court said he was not innocent. The court had to keep him there. I do not like the fact he was there, but he was not executed. That is the difference. Yes, he was so nice to die before the execution..how convenient for your “theyallhadtheirchancesinthecourt” system! And what happens when in 10-20 years some new forensic techniques are invented and they prove that 1343 more innocent inmates were put to death? I suppose you would even then wash your hands with that court-low crap..

Tommy, you might want to look up Kenneth McDuff. He was let go from Death Row in Texas only to kill again...

Let go? Big mistake.
We're not looking to get rid of prison. LWOP sounds very very good.

Lili, They had their day in Court. It is better than what happened to Marshal Ratliffe...
From the texas state handbook...
Probably the best-known event in Cisco history was the Santa Claus Bank Robbery.qv It occurred two days before Christmas of 1927, when four men robbed the First National Bank, taking $12,000 in cash and $150,000 in nonnegotiable securities. A chain of exciting events-including an attempt to steal a car foiled by a quick-thinking fourteen-year-old and a gun battle in which three people were killed, seven were injured, and two young girls were kidnapped-accounts for the many, often melodramatic, stories written about the robbery. One of the bandits eventually died of gunshot wounds, one served a prison sentence and was released, one died in the electric chair, and the last was lynched after shooting a jailer while trying to escape.

He served his time and was let go...He was almost executed a couple of times... Now, tell the families of those he killed that the death penalty is bad...Please do.

Ratliffe was lynched down the street from a house I may buy. The rope broke the first time they tried to hang him...

that'll be fun for you to think of; every day as you go home. I guess that'd be a selling point for someone of your mindset

Now, tell the families of those he killed that the death penalty is bad...Please do. no problem with that Mike...i could would do it since i´m rational and not emotional in things like that... what would the DP bring them except for a short time of vengeance...they should rather have feelings of rage against the state who lets dangerous people out...LWOP is definitely necessary for some people.... (no mike..to say it beforehand..DP isn´t..but we had this subject about security in modern hi-secs before and we also talked about the primitivity of vengeance before...and i dislike to repeat myself about subjects..repeating myself would be like talking to either "deaf" people or to idiots..i like neither of them) Mo-DAWG

We agree there. I guess I just see the current DP as more of the same; but if they dress it up and call it law then they've convinced you its a different thing. Its not.

Tommy, you might want to look up Kenneth McDuff. He was let go from Death Row in Texas only to kill again... I’ve just looked briefly ..this is a poor example for what you are going to prove – he was freed from prison because they were crowded!!! Bingo – one more terrible mistake of your beloved tdcj that resulted with loss of human lives..
