What about the families of the victims of crime...What do you plan to do for them? I mean, it is nice that the guys on death row have friends, but what of the friends of the murdered person? Mike I suggest to you that RICKY, Irene, and every other family member of executed men/women are victims of murder, and I ask you, what are you going to do for them? Tasha

They are not victims of murder. It was an execution. That is a state-sponsored homocide. It is not a murder. I will admit I am not interested in deterence. I am interested in justice. Crimes may be done against individuals or companies, but the state is who brings charges, who carries out sentences in the name of the people in that state.

State sponsored murder is also murder and has nothing to do with so called "justice"..they needed to give their vengeance-killings a name and since murder sounds a bit baaaaad for the "good people" they call it "execution" and "justice" ...do you think Europe had less of a justice since it doesn´t satisfy it´s needs for revenge with acts of annihilation....and that´s what executions are..primitive acts of vengeance and annihilation.. Europe stopped Capitol Punishment in spite of the wishes of the common person. Not for morality. Not for a moral high ground.

Europe stopped Capitol Punishment in spite of the wishes of the common person. Not for morality. Not for a moral high ground. The majority of Europeans scorn the DP since they see it as primitive and barbaric..I´ve spent most of my life in Europe and i´m thankful to the people of Europe to be intelligent enough to realize what the DPreally is...and americans will be the same way if they get a chance to..what do you think how many americans would still be Pro-DP if they were educated about it..i mean REALLY educated.... We would still use it. It does deter people from crime...One criminal at a time.

I know it is not a deterrent. I do care about justice... where is justice to be found in the DP? do you think states all over the world that don´t have the DP don´t have justice.... Mo-DAWG

Not like we do. Our system is not perfect, but it works and is fair. Far more so than in some places..

and FAR, FAR less so than in most places.
Sure, you're better than a few places (Iran, Iraq, the Sudan) but you'd actually probably call their systems justice. Why wouldn't someone like you support the removal of an eye if someone causes an eye to be lost; or the removal of a hand from a thief....
Why don't you lobby your government to follow the practices of these other fine justice systems?

you GOT it.
Now follow the same logic. We don't steal from 'stealers' - we don't rape rapists - neither should we kill killers.
There's a breakdown in logic in your reasoning.
