JUST OMG!!!!!!! I used to keep in touch with him a few years ago, and I've felt bad ever since that I kind of dropped off the radar in his life. Anyhoo, a week ago I wrote him back and he wrote me again! He is still doing good and he said they moved him because Alabama has switched to lethal injection from the electric chair. Are there still states that USE the electric chair?? I thought all 50 states just used lethal injection. That's all I ever hear about now..

Awwww, you mean I can't tell what they said? LOL! Darn it! How am I gonna sleep tonight? LOL! Anyhoo, I used to keep in touch with Michael about a year or two ago.....then I kind of dropped off the radar. When I came to this site and read somewhere that, it emotionally devastates a DR inmate when you stop writing, I felt like the worst person in the world. I wrote to him again a week ago thinking he would NEVER write me back.....I was RELIEVED when I got a letter from him. Believe me, I won't make that same mistake again

That's great. BTW, I probably deleted Terri's comment by mistake, but there is no way I can re-read the comment or place it back. In fact, I'm sure what Terri said was appropriate, so Terri, I'm sorry Tracy may be able to, though. hugggz, Suzanne

MAGGIE OR WHOEVER (MO-DAWG TOO LOL!): Question....... Why is it, when Michael wrote to me he said: "Don't send polaroids, only regular pictures" "You cant send me magazine cut-outs, etc" from the internet. Well A).....What is the difference between sending a polaroid vs. sending a regular picture??? I mean, who cares, right??? It's a PICTURE?? B).....How would anyone know WHAT I send him in the mail? Is there some warden or somebody that reads everyone's mail before giving it to the prisoner? You mean my mail is opened and read detail-by-bloody-detail before it's given out? That makes ME feel violated. What gives THEM the right? ?

What gives THEM the right? ? hi abira ...heres the answers to your questions .... a) the difference tween a regular pic and a polaroid is that a in polaroid you could hide things tween the material .. you know that a polaroid unlike a regular pic contents of more than one part .. thats why they dont allow polaroids ... b) the mailroom opens all outgoing and incoming mail to and from dr inmates and checks it .. they read it as well hoping to find any confessions or stuff in it so they can forward it to the DA s etc ... thatone of the reasons why you should never talk to your friend about his case and why he should never tell you things about his case... its just too dangerous to do so ... what gives them the right to do that? well inmates are "property" (i hate that expression) of the state thats why they do it ... Geez who THINKS of these things?? LOL!! Are the wardens/mail readers so BLOODY paranoid that I'm gonna send him....what?? What is so stinkin' TINY that would be of any use to Michael??? But, whatever. At least Michael isn't in Texas *sigh* Jaime Elizalde still hasn't written back yet. God bless his soul. How's he doing? Have you heard? For some reason, besides Michael Taylor, Jaime's picture really grabbed my attention. I hate it that he's in Texas

For some reason, besides Michael Taylor, Jaime's picture really grabbed my attention. I hate it that he's in Texas well yes its the lil things you ll learn when you a friend to dr inmates ... and yes they check everything .. not only do they assume that you might send stuff to your friend .. i think its more like spying the mail for things being said about the case .. they really spy every little sh*t and stick their noses in every letter ... ...jaime hasnt written back yet? well mail is slow at polunsky currently so dont worry about that too much ...how is jaime doing? i have no idea .. i would have to ask somebody who is a close friend of his since he is not one of my bros on DR ... i just hope that he will make a good deal with texas .. they want him to testify in a murder trial soon ..so i see it like this: texas wants to solve a murder case and jaime might be able to give them what they want .. so they gotta offer something in return .. like offering him a life sentence or something .. i mean why should he give them anything for free and not demand a deal ?... it all just depends on how good his info is .. i know somebody who works with jaimes lawyers .. and well if the info is good then texas will surely have to give him something in return .. i mean what could texas demand from him ... jaime is sentenced to die and has an execution date set so he could also just say "thanks for the stay texas and now f*ck off and have another unsolved murder case" ... know what i mean? ... a deal that helps both sides ... Nebraska is the only state that has the chair as the sole method of death. All other DP states use LI as the primary method, but some give the inmate other options. Michael's 2nd letter arrived today.......I told him about this friend of mine that I work with and how she has over 100 penpals from all over the world ;D He says: "Well, how about you and I set a goal of over 100 letters to and from each other by the end of this year"? ;D I guess I have my work cut out for me huh? He also sent me two pics of him.....of himself and one with his mother.......the pic that is on this website on the Prisoner Pen Pal pages has him with a full head of hair.....only in these pics he sent, his head is CLEAN SHAVED ---- It almost didn't look like him, I kinda hadda look twice LOL!!! He says the mail at Holman is a little slow due to their "Mail Lady". What, is she like "Lunch Lady" slow? (ala Adam Sandler's song) ;D Anyhoo, just wanted to let you know, we're still writing. Thanx, Abira
